12 days of Christmas- what are you stacking for the apocalypse??

welshstacker -

As the festive season draws near, there’s no better way to celebrate than with a bit of shiny inspiration! For the next 12 days, I’ll be sharing my very own 12 Days of Christmas Countdown, featuring the precious metals I’d love to find under the tree this year. This idea was first dreamt up by a long-time #silvergoldstackers community member and good friend, @silverd510, and it pairs beautifully with our annual #SecretSanta project, where members exchange silver and gold gifts anonymously. Find both original posts here 👉 silverd510 and the #secretsanta 👈 there.....

Originally designed to showcase a growing wishlist, the concept had one rule: the gifts should increase in value as the days progress, culminating on Day 12 with your "holy grail"—the ultimate unattainable piece. It’s a brilliant way to share your wish list and perhaps even give your mystery sender a nudge in the right direction. So, grab a warm drink, and join me each day as I unveil the coins, bars, and rounds I’m dreaming Santa will deliver this Christmas!

Day 7: Zombucks – A Hauntingly Unique Addition to My Stack

On the seventh day of my precious metals wishlist, I’m venturing into the world of the unusual, with a series that feels tailor-made for a fan of the zombie genre like me: Zombucks – Currency of the Apocalypse. Finally reaching the 1 oz barrier today, these 999 fine silver rounds are a bold and fascinating entry into the stacking world. While I'd happily welcome any of the existing Zombucks rounds into my collection, the new Zombucks 2.0 series would be an absolute thrill to start with.

The Zombucks series takes a darkly creative twist on precious metals, depicting zombified versions of iconic coin designs. From a decayed Lady Liberty to a macabre Saint, each round captures the chaos and horror of a world overrun by the undead. The reverse design, featuring the biohazard symbol, reminds us that these rounds are more than just silver—they’re a glimpse into a dystopian nightmare brought to life through stunning craftsmanship.

What sets Zombucks apart is not just their eerie designs but also the quality of their production. Minted by Sunshine Minting Inc., these rounds exemplify purity and precision. Sunshine Minting, based in Idaho’s rich silver-mining region, is a leader in the industry, known for supplying the United States Mint and government mints worldwide. Their commitment to artistry and innovation is evident in every gory detail of the Zombucks collection.

For stackers and collectors, Zombucks offer a perfect blend of creative storytelling and tangible value. They’re a conversation starter, a showpiece, and a unique way to diversify a stack. As a zombie genre fan, I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this series, but now that I have, they’ve shot straight to the top of my “must-have” list.

As we enter the final stretch of the 12 Days of Christmas, the stakes—and the weight of the silver—continue to rise. Here’s hoping that a piece of the undead apocalypse makes its way into my stocking this year!
