Potevo dire "Siete stati qui", ma ho detto "Li avete notati, che posto accogliente". Io e il più giovane li abbiamo visti volare davanti a una casa.

**Ho dovuto stare fermo a guardare, sono tornato indietro per scattare alcune foto delle figure che volavano con l'aiuto del vento.

Il fantasma (o era il vento? No, è il fantasma) stava sbattendo l'albero. Abbastanza buono per stare uno accanto all'altro e ridere prima di andare al negozio di omaggi che era dietro l'angolo.
Abbiamo preso tre libri e lungo la strada siamo stati accolti da persone gentili. Un vantaggio della vita in un villaggio. La gente parla, ogni tanto qualcuno canta mentre si va in bicicletta e gli automobilisti si fermano per dire che hai un bell'aspetto prima di ripartire.

Mentre il villaggio cresce, speriamo che le persone continuino ad andare d'accordo e che Halloween (Fright Night è iniziato 4 anni fa) non finisca in una vera festa di massacro (i maggiori di 16 anni possono stare fuori solo).

Ci sono 3 case dei fantasmi, dico a mia figlia (l'altra) o 6 con entusiasmo e c'è una fiera.

Perché tre, è un po' troppo o?

Quei tre si rivelano non essere sulla fiera ma i negozi vuoti (ce ne sono molti qui intorno) saranno trasformati in case spettrali, fantastico!

Il chiosco dei fiori, ha aggiunto il più giovane, e ci siamo fatti una bella risata. È piccolo e tutte le pareti sono di vetro. L'idea non è male. Spooky Madurodam: persone spaventose all'interno e il resto del villaggio guarda e ride (anche questa è un'abitudine del villaggio).


Eravamo soliti guidare fino al "Warner's Bross Themepark" per Halloween (sempre freddo!) dal giorno in cui hanno iniziato, ma è cambiato molto (nome incluso) e questo potrebbe essere altrettanto bello e più economico.

Siamo anche andati a Intratuin (vicino ad Arnhem) per tagliare le zucche e prendere un tè pomeridiano una volta. Buono per i due più piccoli, anche se io e l'animatrice della figlia abbiamo tagliato e svuotato la zucca (un tale spreco che è stata tutta buttata via) e il tè pomeridiano è arrivato in ritardo (ci siamo dimenticati che eravamo vicino ai domestici) e di gran lunga non valeva quello che facevano pagare.

Gli altri anni abbiamo tagliato le zucche a casa. È anche un'arte, ma non abbiamo mai capito come conservarle più a lungo (marciscono facilmente anche se tenute fuori, le mance sono ben accette) ma la zuppa fatta era ottima anche se la zucca è un po' insapore.

Dieren (anche parola olandese per "animali") è un villaggio vicino ad Arnhem (provincia di Gelderland nei Paesi Bassi) dove un artista ha aperto un parco a tema. Si è rivelato chiuso, ma ci riproverò nel weekend.

Dieren - Halloween

I could say "Have you been here" but said "Did you notice them what a cosy spot". The youngest and I saw them flying in front of one house.

I had to stand still to watch, went back to take some pictures of the figures flying with help of the wind.
OMG, the youngest thought here we go again and I saw her walk a bit further to watch me from a distance. As I finally took a few photos I kind of recognized the area.

The ghost (or was it the wind? No, it's the ghost) was banging the tree. Good enough to stand side by side and laugh before we went on our way to the giveaway shop which was around the corner.
Three books we took and on our way, we were greeted by kind people. A plus of life in a village. People talk, once in a while someone sings while bicycling and drivers stop to say you look great before they drive on.

As the village grows, let's hope people keep getting along and Halloween (Fright Night started 4 years ago) will not end in a real slaughter party (16+ years old is allowed to be outside only).

The flower kiosk, the youngest added and we have a good laugh. It's small and all walls are made out of glass. The idea isn't bad. Spooky Madurodam - scary people inside and the rest of the village watches and laughs (also a village habit).

We always used to drive to "Warner's Bross Themepark" for Halloween (always cold!) from the day they started but it changed a lot (name included) and this might be as good and cheaper.

We also went to Intratuin (nearby Arnhem) to cut pumpkins and have a high tea once. Good for the youngest two though me and the daughter animator did the cutting and emptied the pumpkin (such a waste it is all thrown away) and the high tea was late (forgotten we were by the servants) and by far not worth what they charged.

The other years we cut the pumpkins at home. It's an art as well but we never figured out how to save them longer (they easily rot even if kept outside, tips are welcome) but the soup made was great even pumpkin is kind of tasteless.

Dieren (also Dutch word for 'animals' is a village nearby Arnhem (province Gelderland in the Netherlands) where an artist opened a Themepark. It turned out to be closed but I will try the weekend again.
