Hello dear Friends...!
I hope you are doing well...
I'm glad to have reached the third week of the Season 21 Learning Challenge course. It has been wonderful and has helped me learn basic techniques from scratch. This is a really great opportunity because we don't need to step out of our homes and spend a lot of money to gain this knowledge.
I have been enjoying the practical classes a lot. I really admire the effort put in by @almacaridad to make short videos and make the practical part very clear for us to understand. Today It's my favorite part, I love learning about eye makeup! So let's get started with this week's tasks to be performed:
I have almond-shaped eyes, which makes it easy to adapt to any eye makeup technique easily. I like to apply a darker shade on the crease to add more depth and enhance the natural contour of my eyes. I also love to wear winged eyeliner to compliment my almond-shaped eyes. The winged eyeliner helps to define and enhance the overall look of the eye makeup. For special occasions, I also love doing smokey eyes. the touch of darker shadow at the outer corner of the eye balances the smokey effect of the eye perfectly. Lastly, I add eyeliner and mascara to add more definition, but I'm very careful when doing this step, as it can sometimes make my eyes look smaller.
Yes, It was a bit challenging to apply the eyeliner while taking photos and videos. I had to be really careful when using the liquid eyeliner because a small mistake could ruin my whole eye makeup. However, I managed to apply the eyeliner it was the hardest part in the practical session. I should practice more to achieve the perfect winged eyeliner.
Currently, I'm using normal mascara for everyday use. It's a lengthening mascara with a straight brush, which evenly coats my eyelashes giving it a more elongated look. It works well for natural everyday looks. I don't have an eyelash curler, I use the mascara to do the same job. I'm not a fan of false lashes, but I do love adding volume to my natural lashes using a volumizing mascara.
I think it's very essential to clean our makeup brushes and sponges regularly to prevent skin problems. What I do is, I take mild hot water to a tub and then add some gentle cleanser like a baby wash. Then I make sure to gently wash it without damaging the bristles. Rinsing them twice or thrice with mild hot water, I then lay the brushes on a towel to remove excess water then I use the hair dryer to make sure that it is fully dried.
Making this a regular practice helps us to avoid any bacterial buildup on our tools, which can lead to various skin issues after the use of makeup. It also helps for the long-lasting use of our favorite makeup brushes.
