Honda Motorcycle Throttle Body Research and Cleaning


Today, I want to share again with Steem users, about Researching and Cleaning the Throttle Body of a Honda Vario 125 OLD Motorcycle, this type of Honda brand motorcycle belongs to my friend who wants to research and clean the combustion channel section in the Throttle Body section of the motorcycle, well, on this occasion, before I dismantle some parts and sensors, I did ECU research with the tools I bought earlier as below:

Well, after doing research, it turns out that this type of motorcycle, experiences a failure of harmony when driving, so this type of Honda brand, is indicated by turning on several blinking sensors, sometimes disappearing, sometimes appearing again in an indefinite time, so, I conclude that, this type of motorcycle, does not experience problems, and only occurs on the TPS Sensor and on the Throttle Body experiencing a pile of dirt. which must be cleaned. because, according to the owner of this vehicle, which is owned by my friend, it has not been cleaned for almost 2 years due to limited funds.

after checking, I opened the Throttle Body channel section with a 14 Key and a 25 star L Key, and we can see the whole thing below:

after I open it, you can see each photo above, the whole thing is very dirty, and that's the reason if we don't clean it often, yes.. at least once a year, to maintain the motorbike that we have, the Throttle Body opening part that is connected to the air duct is also very dirty, so it is not surprising that there is some dirt in this part.

but some motorbike users do not understand that a set of Throttle Body is very expensive, according to the type of vehicle too, if it is damaged what else can be used for, surely the motorbike that we have will become scrap metal if we don't fix it.

in the section below, because my friend does not have money, to replace this part, then, I only modified the spring part to be longer, by pulling this spring, so, when the spring in the picture is pinched, then, it will be easy to return to the harmony of the work of this sensor.


Well, in this section, 3 adjustment holes for the lansam or wind on injection type motorcycles, you can see the dirt that sticks to this section, so, if the hole is clogged or dirty, the motorcycle that we have, often there is no harmony of sound in the exhaust section, sometimes high and sometimes low, sometimes without gas, after we start, often city motorcycles, before we turn the gas pedal, the motorcycle has been running, and we have to press the brake pedal first, these are some obstacles too. so, this section should not be dirty and clogged.

Likewise on the sensor below, I removed the stainless steel inside, and tightened the fin part inside, so, when the black PETAK BLACK peg in picture No. 4 above enters the sensor that has STAINLESS PETAK in this sensor, then, the BLACK peg will be more SOLID and must not be loose, if it is loose, then, when we first gas when our motorbike starts, the motorbike does not immediately turn on and will look like it is weak or like it is lacking fuel in the tank okay.

after all is done, open, then, I continue with cleaning with Part cleaner, which costs around IDR. 45,000, - with the brand of Carburetor spray and injection cleaner.

after I cleaned it, everything was installed properly and finally my friend went home with a happy heart while waving and smiling. because his motorbike was no longer damaged.
