I hope you all are good and doing well . Today I'm here again with my herbal medicine task and trying to understand new things from the lesson given by @afzalqamar in his amazing lesson "SLC S21 Week 4 - Herbal Remedies for Energy, Pain Relief, and Mental Clarity".

Let's move to the lesson tasks.

Create a tea or add a powder (like ginseng or ashwagandha) to your drink for energy and write about its benefits.

Here is a recipe and the benefits to include ashwagandha powder in your energy tea:

Ashwagandha Energy Tea

Ingredients:

leaf green tea or black tea1 tsp
Ashwagandha powder1/4 tsp
Honey1 tsp (optional)
Lemon slices or lemon juicefew drops

Making:

Benefits of Ashwagandha :

Ashwagandha is super active herb, having many benefits:

1. Energy and Endurance : It enhances mental and physical performance.
2. Reduces cortisol levels and anxiety: Due to reduction in cortisol it relief stress of body efficiently.
3. Improves sleep quality: It relaxes body and better sleep.
4. Cognitive function: Enhances concentration, memory, and clarity of focus.
5. immune system: It boosts immunity and oxidative level so it Supports the immune system.
6. Anti-inflammatory: Due to this property it reduces inflammation and oxidative stress.

Pain-Relief Oil: Make an oil for the pain relief by using herbal ingredients and describe how it helps with pain.

Here are some kitchen spices that can be used to create a pain-relieving oil:

Pain Relief Oil from Kitchen Spices Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup carrier oil (coconut, olive, or sweet almond)
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper powder

Making:

  1. Mix spices in a bowl.
  2. Add carrier oil and stir well.
  3. Transfer mixture to a glass bottle.
  4. Store in a cool, dark place.

Application Methods:

  2. Massage therapy: Use oil as massage medium.
  3. Bath soak: Add oil to warm bath water.

Precautions:

  • Perform patch test for skin sensitivity.
  • Open wounds or broken skin can not be treated with this oil.
Make a herbal remedy for the mental clarity from the herbs which are commonly found in your area. Write down its benefits for the health and how it helps in mental clarity and why?

***Why it Works:****

  1. Peppermint has menthol, which helps increase blood flow towards the brain.
  2. Rosemary has Carnosic acid which enhances the cognitive ability of brain.
  3. The Lemon balm reduces stress and promotes relaxation.
  4. Gingerol content in ginger facilitates digestion and reduces inflammation.
  5. Ginkgo Biloba improves blood flow to the brain because of its beneficial Flavonoids.

Precautions:

  1. Start using this tea after consulting a healthcare professional.

Recommendation:
