$ETH having trouble holding 4k

Anytime $ETH goes over 4k it automatically retraces and brings down all of the altcoins with it. It's been happening over and over and over, just when you think it might break out it happens again and again and again. Pretty frustrating. Over the last 24 hours ETH has made a low of 3,854.48 and a high of 4,040.34, it's currently being traded for around 3,868.21 on most exchanges.
