Using Steemit To Help Me Fight Crime 30/10/2024

Unfortunately I have the task of writing up a crime report that happened to me and my friends at the weekend.
It's not a easy thing to do because not only do you have to remember details but it's highly likely to be a complete waste of time. Much of the crime goes unpunished, and if they do receive a "punishment" it rarely fits the crime or time scale.
However I feel it at least makes a further dent on just how bad things really are on the records kept. There are various reasons as to why I feel there's a need to send and write a report. For example for the sake of my friends as this shouldn't of happened to them or anyone, for the sake of other members of the public especially the families with very young children, and for the staff especially those who received racist abuse.
I will be using STEEMIT of all places to write my draft/template/ reference of events for the report that I will be sending. Why Steemit? Because people often forget that Steemit is a great place to store things, like stories, photos, documents, policies, contracts or in my case a template for my report. However I shouldn't have to write this but please remember Steemit is open for anybody to see so please use discretion.

Still I felt especially bad for my friend who was having a important job interview early the following morning. I mean to put on their best self after all the nonsense that happened the previous night just after having had a fantastic weekend out among friends wouldn't of been easy. I told them I don't know how they managed to pull off such a interview as my brain was still struggling with all the "what if's" and they did say to me it was a real struggle to put on a smile and bring a positive vibe to the table.
It was still just the evening after the event day, myself and friends had spent nearly the entire time at the event for the weekend. In high spirits on our return home like we always traditionally do we went to a restaurant for our last meal together before we would all have to separate back to our normal lives.
It was at that point when things turned for the worst that evening, we had nearly 15 young boys walk into the place who started to cause complete chaos.
Initially they were just in there being very loud, it turned into play fighting among themselves , but this continued up to the point that they started getting hold of trays, breaking them and throwing them around. There were bits of sharp plastics flying around the room one piece nearly landed on my eye, I was lucky to avoid that thinking about it now.
Unbelievably the staff still served them their food, which to no surprise was soon also flying around the restaurant. Soon staff were putting on speakers that they don't tolerate such anti social behaviour in the restaurant. But this was nonsense and they clearly did except such behaviour as it was now the 2nd time they played the same warning message which not a single one of those yobs even acknowledged. The restaurant was clearly excepting and letting this behaviour continue for far too long.
The lunatic young boys after were even standing and jumping on the tables! Worst of all they were grabbing and throwing chairs around the restaurant. People were leaving horrified, shocked and worried for the safety of their children and family. A poor mother in the seat in front of us with her husband clutched on to her baby to protect it from all the things being thrown around the room. She was petrified that a chair might be thrown hitting her baby as her husband barked back at these vile yobs without much luck.
The staff were still not doing anything! And nobody was calling for the police! Next some of the yobs got outside the restaurant and were continuing to throw chairs around, which one hit a car of a elderly woman. Still the staff of the restaurant done nothing, this was until this poor elderly woman actually came out of the car to complain directly to staff about the chairs being throw at her car.
It was a horrendous experience as they even started throwing food and things around the room at our female friends. They then proceeded to call them nasty names, they threw food at them and even hot chocolate.
We are unfortunately mostly powerless to do much else but to try and protect them. You see because this young gang are all under the legal age it means that when the police did turn up if we had laid a finger on any of them it would be us being arrested and not the trouble makers.
Yes this way of life comes down to our dear government in which we pay taxes to only receive no protection from those who harm us. Brilliant that... but the part that makes me even more sick is that when the police did finally arrive.. I mean sure there were 2 police cars and a van and the gang ran out of the restaurant to another building which all looked promising as the police continued to go in looking for them.
But honestly the police were there no longer than 10 minutes before they "all" left again, yes every single police car and officer left the scene. In under 10 minutes!
Did they detain any of the yobs? Nope, did they at least call their families to pick them up? Nope, they literally done nothing at all. Because like us the police are powerless, thank you government, so what are we suppose to do? Good question.
And so of course only minutes later some of those from the gang just simply returned back into the restaurant again. Now I will be honest I don't know if they continued to cause chaos in there or not.
Because by this point my friends had thankfully hatched a plan to escape via taxis with our female friends that the yobs had specifically started to target, we just had to get them out of there to safe. I remained back and was watching from afar to see what action our police would take. This of course turned to be a big waste of time.
I hate living in such a dangerous area, there are a hundred crime reports being made, I know other places have it worse, especially those suffering war, if I'm lucky enough to one day be earning enough Steem I want to get out of here!
My report aims to do a few things.
-To help my friends feel like something is being done.
-For staff at the restaurant to feel like someone is on their side.
-To further fight for well established companies to protect their staff and customers.
-To have security present in the entertainment Square in all operating businesses.
-For female staff and female customers to feel safe working or visiting their local restaurants.
-For staff and customers to not be subject to forms of racist abuse.
-To point out the big flaws in our legal and criminal system.
-To showcase other uses of using the Steemit Blockchain
