Good day Steemian and welcome, this is more than just a price update on the Steem cryptocurrency for 6/5/2024, under the hood it's been a 7 year project.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content, plus I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price and recent Steemit changes for over 7 years.
There also as never been a single power down made on this account since that time "7 years", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. All this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earning rewards.
I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all. Most of the players in the crypto sphere are only here for some quick and shady profits before they just decide to get up and disappear but we have been here for the long run and would like to see Steem remained a strong and reliable token.
If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.

May 2024-Bitcoin reached over "70.000" again on March 25th and so the high season isn't done just yet thankfully. We had yet another fall from Bitcoin which likely you have recently witnessed some of the many bearish traps for investors to try and navigate. So who knows when the bullrun will be truly over, I mention bitcoin because it can be a indication on the direction that Steem will follow. However not a lot of movement from our own token this time round compared to previous years which is very sad. Perhaps we have to be more patient, others would argue that it almost doubled since it's bottom, and so while that was something to celebrate Steem as done much better in the past. However that does mean that Steem itself is essentially still wide open price wise for the smart and smaller investors. Last night I went to sleep just under the usual late hour while not great it's a improvement from the past 3 nights. When I did go to rest it took me a while to fall asleep, this I knew was because of the cold, initially I thought I could of done without the extra layer on. Well I was wrong but instead of the extra layer I reached out for the blanket and even with that it was still a little chilly but eventually I fell asleep. Yes it's been cold again lately specifically during the night, it's been the case since the storm hit us 5 nights ago, at least during the day it's not been so bad. When I did go to sleep I woke-up only for my scheduled alarm which was great as I wanted to catch-up on sleep after the previous very late ones. I then woke-up to my alarm ringing but did continue to rest past it for way longer than I wanted. The alarm was already set for later than usual as I want to make sure I get enough sleep so as to not get unwell but I do already feel a little uncomfortable on my throat. I could of still easily rested for longer it seems but I had things I wanted to get done. As for the weather this morning it's changed from yesterday, instead of having a bright sunny start we a very dark one filled with clouds and some rain, the prediction is full-on storms by the afternoon. While it was a late start to the day this was not much of a problem as I didn't have work to get in for until later but still I wanted to get done some basic chores. The past few days I talked about how I was sure I had a fire test to get done at work, initially I received a test on some documentation. During my last shift I finally got the fire test and so I hope there won't be anymore for a while. When my free time was up I had a quick small breakfast and then changed to go to work. On the way I was worried about the rainfall and while it was raining it had calmed to almost nothing. I took the trash with me to dispose and for some reason there was a man under one of the bridges sleeping. I initially thought it was perhaps a homeless man but the guy had all clean clothing on him, he was either just literally sleeping under a bridge or he's freshly homeless. When I got to work still mostly dry thankfully a superior calls for me, I assumed either something was wrong or there was another test to get done. Yup it was yet another test, this one is a time keeping one and also very easy. When the test was finished I could get on with some work, but soon after what I wanted to really know is if there was going to be any extra work today? Well I didn't see the guy there who normally deals with it which is a good sign already but I wanted to make sure and so I looked on the system for any signs and great nothing. This is good as it made the day much easier however checking over the weekly task sheet I have a team task to complete which I'm very annoyed about. It's not because it's a group task that it annoys me but rather our task is basically to clear and close our space and so in turn giving us all less working space. This really annoys me because it's like there as been no thought into the repercussions of this move. For example during Christmas I know dam well we needed all that space and a lot more! It also means many more things are going to have to be organised differently and so taking us longer every time we have extra work. It just makes no sense and yet they always want us to be faster at our jobs? I'm not happy at all and will be voicing all my concerns, it's constantly because of these silly bad decisions that companies close down because the idiots at the top have no clue. Once I finished work I expected bad weather on the way home, the security guard said to me it's been raining the whole time, but when I looked outside there was no rain so I told him it's stopped to let me go home. And that was exactly what happened the rain had stopped and the temperature was fine, I checked to see if the guy was still napping under the bridge but he had vanished. On the way I also received a message from friends asking if I was definitely going to be online tonight, since they were asking I agreed as I guessed this meant everybody will be there. Since it was likely all friends would be online today I decided to go on later, all were present, we didn't get as much done as I turned up a little late and some left earlier. I'm still waiting to get a reply from my friend so that everybody can more or less make their final decisions about the event coming next month. Last night I was finally able to see what my schedule would be for the Friday and Saturday of the event weekend, well I'm very annoyed but I can't make it for any of those days as I will be working during all the event time. And so now my only last hope to attend any day of the event will be on the Sunday, but unfortunately for that I'm going to have to wait another week to see what the overlords decide.. As for Steemit.com there as been talks about doing PR for the site which as all been done before and while in one way adding more people could help the value of Steem I believe it would be better to try and educate those who are already with us. And I don't mean education on creating content but rather on how the site and the token is valued "again not by it's content" but instead by holding Steem, buying etc. Others are working on updating the look of the Steemit.com website to something more "modern" I was very worried about this but the changes aren't anything drastic. They have got to the point of having alpha testers. What I would like to see is just easier excess to all parts of the website. Sometimes I feel have to be too much on the right page to get to where I want to go.. if that makes sense. Onwards there as been mostly promises of war happening everywhere, more countries are slowly getting and warning their citizens to prepare for war. Such a war in this day and age will be devastating and so we must continue to work to remain at peace and not fight in wars that don't belong to us. Before we finish I would like to ask if anybody can recommend any website to watch movies or series for free without a VPN, a upvote will be sent if it's good.
