Good day Steemian and welcome, this is more than just a price update on the Steem cryptocurrency for 18/4/2024, under the hood it's been a 7 year project.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content, plus I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price and recent Steemit changes for over 7 years.
There also as never been a single power down made on this account since that time "7 years", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. All this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earning rewards.
I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all.
If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.

April 2024-Bitcoin reached over "70.000" again on March 25th and so the high season wasn't done just yet thankfully. We had yet another fall from Bitcoin but like you have likely witnessed there have been many bearish traps for investor to try and navigate lately. So who knows if it's truly over and I only mention bitcoin because it can be a indication on the direction that Steem will follow. However not a lot of movement from our own token this time round compared to previous years which is very sad. Perhaps we have to be more patient, others would argue that it almost doubled since it's bottom, and so while that was something to celebrate Steem as done much better in the past. However with that it also means that Steem itself is essentially still wide open "price wise" for the smart and small investors. Last night I went to sleep at the usual late hour, which was a little disappointing but got into working on another project and like to work on it when the inspiration hits. When I did go to sleep it was cold but I managed to fall asleep rather quickly, still I'm better prepared lately for the night by putting on a blanket over the sheets, surprisingly while it helps it isn't by much but it is usually enough to get me through the night. It's amazing how I still felt cold even with the heating having to come on, this was after just dropping a bag of money for having that privilege as these companies continue to be greedy scum. When I did go to sleep I woke-up only for my scheduled alarm, this was set a little later as I was so tired from the long shift I had yesterday. Which also led me to resting past the alarm for longer as I wanted a good amount of rest so that I don't get sick again. As for the weather this morning it seems a little indecisive but I guess I would say it's partly sunny, even if it can look a little dark the sky is staying very bright blue in colour which is nice to see. I was lucky enough this morning to only start work later in the day meaning it was fine to rest for longer but I did have to get started with those chores. I also wanted to check for any news on my father since sending him the information I sent him and also to re-arrange with friends on when I would see them. As I got changed and left for work, I expected it to be gloomy dark and cold, it was still cold and of course the wind continued but it was still light and sunny which was nice. When I got to work some colleagues were glad to see me as it means they could leave, I spoke to guy just as I left telling him I was taking a page from he's book after doing a few longer shifts I'm taking some days off not that we have any say on any of it haha. Later I looked over the weekly job sheet and saw I still had most of that one job to get done, I'm not sure what hit me because I definitely wasn't feeling it but I had a lot of energy and motivation to quickly get that completed. And so I did as it was my last day that I would be able to work on it, guess it's true that I could of left the job for my colleague but what if he doesn't do it? Yes which is why I thought it would be best to at least do most of it and stick my name next to it, tomorrow it will be up to him if he wants to fully complete it. It was a good shift mostly quiet didn't get disturbed until the very end as I needed to do some quick cover work which honestly I was expecting to happen but much earlier luckily this didn't happen until like the last 20 minutes. Leaving work there was a horrible chill which everybody made a comment on and unfortunately soon after that drops started to fall. It was about half to getting home when it started to rain slightly but I still took it easy as I wanted the fresh air but was also waiting on a friend to call. Once I got home I got the phone call I expected, like always the chat goes on for too long and I had to abandon the conversation as my father was also calling me plus I wanted to get dinner ready. I was still having thoughts after I had a little incident with dinner the other night, with a cooked bowl of rice on one hand I opened the oven door to get out the rest of the food.. well in this same moment I noticed a big spider just about to crawl under my sleeve and so with a jolt and a shake getting the spider off my arm it started to rain rice.. well yes after checking myself for being free of the beast I looked to the floor to see my just freshly cooked rice still steaming. A smile was turned upside down as I was very hungry and had no idea where that spider went, however I did spot him last night and tonight but unfortunately couldn't get it out of the house just yet argh! I brought a new laptop the other day as I will need this for when and if I go to see my father this year as the current one I own is not fit for travelling with, it's so old I'm surprised it's not falling apart. As for the new one I wanted to get through it's setup process but already knew it was likely that wouldn't happen. Infact I knew it could of been a few days before I get the chance to set it up, which today again proves this to be true but I hope like I mentioned I will wait to get it done during my time off from work. As for Steemit.com there as been talks about doing PR for the site which I'm sure as all been done before and while in one way adding more people could help the tokens value I believe it would be better to try and educate those who are already with us. And I don't mean education on content creation but on how the site and the token is valued, again not by content but by holding the token, buying etc. Others are working on updating the look of the Steemit.com website to something more "modern" I was very worried about this but the changes aren't anything drastic. They have got to the point were inviting alpha testers to try the work so far as been called for. What I would like to see is just easier excess to all parts of the website. Sometimes I feel have to be too much on the right page to get to where I want to go.. if that makes sense. Onwards there as been mostly promises of war happening everywhere, more countries are slowly getting and warning their citizens to prepare for war. Such a war in this day and age will be devastating and so we must continue to work to remain at peace and not fight in wars that don't belong to us. Before we finish I would like to ask if anybody can recommend any website to watch movies or series for free without a VPN, a upvote will be sent if it's good.
