This was actually the name of Silvertop and Liz’s band …….that was a a lifetime ago Lol!🤣
Almost 60 degrees on December 1st that’s so strange!
Liz is at work, and the rain has temporarily stopped…….it was time for a long overdue hike!😊
The Mrs has been checking the river levels today, to be safe.
It has dropped a bit, but it is still only three feet from overflowing the dikes!
Valley residents are still concerned, two years ago a section of the dike broke, causing severe flooding!
From the High trail, I watched cars far below driving through deep flood water covered roads…….what are they thinking!🤔
On the hike back down my neighbor Adam was taking advantage of a somewhat dry day to chainsaw some firewood from a tree he is trimming.
I rounded the bend and a Police cruiser slowed to a stop along side Silvertop!😳

It’s nice to have a Police Officer living on our road!
He has been busy, we have three different roads to get to town.
One had a section of road wash completely away, and is closed!
The second wraps around South Pass and drops down to the valley……..
A section of this road is separating in the middle, and is closed!
The third and only road open goes directly to town, and is the road in danger if the flooding gets worse!😲
For now, the rivers are dropping, and Silvertop hiked without a raincoat!
How nice is that!!!!🤗
