SEC20/WK1: Introduction to Graphic Design and Principles.
Graphic design is one of my favorite subject or topic to learn. The learning never can be end because it can be compared to an ocean. I find this interesting workshop a late but before the deadline thankfully. Thanks to friend @lhorgic for bringing this subject that we can learn with steem. Before starting what I learn and sharing my presentation I would love to talk about tools that mostly used by graphic designers all over the world.
Canva is now most popular for graphic design tasks because this is faster and smoother than other applications. When I first learn about graphic design I met photoshop CC and Illustrator CC and Canva is an app which is the combination of both photoshop and illustrator and a better version for many of us. Canva is user friendly and available for non-professionals too. Anyway, Let me proceed to the point..!!
What is Graphic Design?Briefly Share with me your understanding about graphic design
After reading a lot about it, I think Graphic Design in short visual communication process. There are some elements like images, colors, typography and shapes that is most important to explain graphic design. A visual message can be more meaningful with the help of Graphic design. It express specific message and information through the visual art that created by creative artists.
For me Graphic design is a complete package of visual communication, sharing information and the best advanced technology of art. It can be compared to the sign languages as it represent the brand, identity and quality through art. A single blog is not enough to define graphic design completely so I wrote it briefly.
Pick any three of the principles of Graphic design and talk about them based on your level of understanding .
Next I would like to discuss at least three principles of Graphic design and I'll share my own words and understanding on these. I choose to discuss on Alignment, Rhythm and Repetition amongst all principle. Let me start.
Alignment
At first I took an artboard in canva by clicking Create a design and I selected instagram post artboard size 1080x1080 px (square). Now I can change the color from the color wheel row above the artboard. (step: 01)
Next I color the background to cobalt blue and sign my name SHOHANA on the top right of the board. I will take a shape from Element section and will make three copies (ctrl+ c to copy and ctrl+ v to paste in keyboard) of the shape, will select them each to show the alignment process and tidy up them using canva and it takes only few seconds. (step: 02) In step 3 it's done with the finale result.

- Step :03
Rhythm
Rhythm is not only exist in music but also exist in graphic design. Nice to learn about Rhythm from our trainer @lhorgic as he explain what it is actually in graphic design. How it works and details. Let me show the process bellow:
I took a square shape and make a tidy row and column of 16 shapes. I changed the color of shapes in a rhythmic style as our trainer taught us in his workshop post. It took only few seconds and I find it interesting too.
Repetition
In this section I learn about level of uniformity and consistency that repetition do and when pictures will say everything there I can say few words to explain the process so let's go for it.
I took four shapes by follow the previous copy and paste of shape process. Next I change the color of two and arrange them accordingly that shows repetition.
Practically show us how to make the graphical image below.
This is the time when I'm going to make the graphical image with the help of canva and our trainer. The process is just like before as I click on create a design on the top left of canva interface and then took 1080x1080 px instagram post image size for the creation. Next I'll change the color of background and will take a shape from elements like circle on it. You can see the process below,

Finally I'm done with the complete process and wish to get at least pass mark for my work heheh! This was interesting and will wait for the next lesson. Would love to learn more and this is more than a pleasure to learn with steem.
