Starting by wishing good health to all steemit friends. Steam for Ladies Community has organized a wonderful contest on stories. I will participate in this contest today with a fictional and educational subject story. So let's get started.
If you want to do better for yourself, stop lying
Some stories make us happy, some stories make us cry and some have lessons. So almost everyone should read or listen to stories from small children to adults. I love reading stories since childhood. So I heard many stories from elders and read in books.
The story is fictional. A long time ago. There were a few villages near a thick jungle forest. So there was a false shepherd in a village. The shepherd used to lead his goats and sheep in the fields.
One day when the shepherd was herding the goats and sheep in the field, many farmers were working around to eat. The shepherd was accompanied by several other shepherds. So the shepherd decides to have fun with the farmers. So he vows to lie.
Suddenly the shepherd shouted, "The tiger has come from the forest, the tiger has come, save us, save us." Then all the farmers in the vicinity came running with sticks in their hands to rescue the shepherds from the tiger.
The farmers, however, knew that there were no tigers in the forest and no tiger had ever entered the village. But since it was a densely forested forest, they thought that some force of speech might have come from the forest to attack the shepherds.
But whenever the farmers come to the shepherd. The shepherd then laughs loudly and says I have played with you. Seeing this, the farmers got angry and went to their respective work.
Similarly the next day also the shepherd treats the farmers in the same way. After doing this for two to three days, the farmers became very angry and promised that if the shepherd shouted like this again, they would not come again.
After that, the farmers go to their own work and the shepherd tends to his goats and sheep in the fields.
Suddenly, one day the shepherd was driving his goats and sheep in the field. That day there was only that shepherd and no shepherd brought animals to the field. When the shepherd was driving the goats and sheep, suddenly a bus really came and the goats started eating the sheep.
Then the shepherd was shouting a lot and saying, "Tiger has come save my goats are eating the sheep". He screamed a lot but unfortunately no farmer came forward to help him.
Because the farmers realized that the shepherd was lying to them and he was trying to fool them again.
As the shepherd hid in the tree, the tiger could not eat him but ate all his sheep and goats and went back to the forest. When the shepherd came home upset and crying, the farmers saw him and believed the truth.
Then the farmers said to the shepherd, if you had not always lied, we would have believed the truth today. No one ever trusts a liar. If you told the truth, you wouldn't be like this today.
The shepherd realizes his mistake. From then on the Shepherd always spoke the truth.
Note: People are never bettered by lying. Telling the truth often saves you from various dangers.Love yourself but stop lying first.
