SLC S21W3 | Apply your eye makeup correctly to highlight your look.

💄 - As seen in the lesson, you must do shading on both the upper and inner eyelid, with the three shades of your preference and blend it as best as possible; In addition, explain and investigate a little about your eye types and what is the best way to enhance your look according to that type

Eye makeup is always one of the most impressive and attractive things in makeup because it defines your personality and enhance your beauty. I want to discuss step by step about shading of my eyes that what kind of eye shades I have used at my eyes and then I will discuss that what type of eyes I have and what can I do for enhancing my eyes look.

• Above you can see my face when I have applied nothing at my eyes but I have applied just one drop a foundation at my face.
• You can see I makeup kit that I am using for my eye makeup today.
• I choosed three shades of my preference for my eye makeup.
• I choosed silver grey shade for making inner corner of my eye, at my eyelid I choosed brown colour to apply and at outer edge or outer corner of my eye I give a smoky look with black colour.

• This is you can see that I am giving a brown shade to my eyelid because brown makeup always look very soft.

• I take another brush for giving silver grey colour to inner corner of my eyes and blend it will show that it becomes a smooth gradient like shade when it makes with Brown.

• At last I give black and smoking shade to outer edge or outer corner of my eyes.

My eyes type and best way to enhancing my eyes

• It can be clearly seen that my eyes are elongated in shape so these eyes are of elongated type because these have more horizontal length than average.
• My eyes also appears more angular or cat like so this is another characteristic of my big elongated eyes.

Enhancement of my eyes

• At elongated eyes I should try to apply eyeliner with stuble lines for creating definition and I should always try to avoid any thick lines.
• I should try to use long cylindrical brushes of mascara so that I may apply them with volume and strengthening formulas for emphasizing length of my lashes.
• I should always try to use neutral shades for my lids like beige or brown.
• I should try to use medium shade at my crease or inner corner like grey or silver color.
• I should try to use dark shades at outer corner of my eyes like black or dark brown.

Now I want to move further at applying cat eyeliner as it was applied in the lesson so I will try my best to give a step by step explanation.

• Above this is you can see that at my outer edge or outer corner I draw a outward line for giving shape of cat eyeliner.
• After that I tried my best to make this line bold by another coat with a technique.

• Now this is a step in which I tried to cover my lid line with eyeliner.
• I tried to apply eyeliner smoothly and at last I became successful in it as you can see in the picture.

• Above in the pictures you can see eye make up of my left eye and eye makeup of my right eye both.

• Now this is a step in which I am going to apply black shade under my eyes outer edge for giving the more enhance and bold look to my eye makeup.

• This is a final step of applying mascara at my eyelashes in which my eyes was facing downward when I was applying mascara at my upper lashes and my eyes was facing upward when I was applying mascara at my lower lashes for giving a more volume to my eye lashes.

My experience after applying eyeliner

• Basically I have not applied eyeliner at my eyes first time so it was not at all a difficult experience for me to applying eyeliner and I think I applied it in right direction and there is no mistake in applying my eyeliner on both sides so I am satisfied with my end result.

💄 - Explain which mascara brush best suits your needs and why; also, tell us if you use the eyelash curler or on the contrary, if you glue false lashes, either in dots or in runs

Best mascara brush for me

• As I have elongated eyes so I think a slim, tapered brush is good for me which allows for proper separation of eyelashes.
• For my elongated eyes I also need curved or angled brush because it will follow natural shape of my elongated eyes.
• Bristles of brush should be gentle because it will prevent clumping and hence they will define my eyelashes.

Using eye lash curler

• If I will use an eyelash curler then it should be curved because it can be suitable because it can fot lash line and in that case I can use it.
• I will use eyelashes curler if grip of eyelash curler would be very gentle because it will prevent pinching of lashes.

Using false lashes

• For my elongated eyes I will try to avoid false eyelashes but if in case I have to use them then I will avoid overly dramatic eyelashes so in this case I will choose very light to medium volume that gives a natural looking style to my elongated eyes for enhancing their look. In this case I will use false eyelashes in dots for giving added volume to eyes.

💄- Research and explain what is the best way to clean and wash our implements and how often it should be done to avoid future skin problems

This is really important to keep implements clean by regular taken care of their cleanliness and we should wash them properly before applying to skin again so that we may stop bacterial growth that can cause skin problems so here is a comprehensive explanation that how we can do this and how often it is important.

• Makeup brushes we should wash with mild soap and lukewarm water for at least two times in a week.

• We should use a very gentle cleaner or baby shampoo for washing them.

• We should use soap for bristles as we do massage and then try to rinse it properly.

• After that we should air dry brushes for prevention of any kind of damaged to them.

As an example;

MAC brush cleanser can be used.

Makeup sponges

• We should wash them in a simple way with lukewarm water with soap. (Twice in a week)

• We can use water and vinegar for sanitizing them with equal ratio of each. (Once in week)

• Try to replace sponges after each month or after alternative months

Eyeshadow brushes

• Clean them with a gentle cleanser or soap at alternative days If you are using them everyday.

Frequency and avoiding skin problems

• Makeup sponges should be cleaned at daily basis.
• makeup brushes Shadow brushes and applicators should be cleaned once or twice in a week depending upon your usage.
• Makeup bags and cases should be cleaned twice or thrice in a week and makeup sponges should be replaced once in a month.
• You can definitely avoid skin problems when you will keep your implements clean for each application of makeup at your face.
• You can avoid skin problems if you are not sharing your makeup or implements with others.
• You can avoid skin problems if your makeup storage is at cool or dry place and if you are properly monitoring expiration of your makeup product that you are using.
