Life wasn't sweeter and tastier as this meal, but finally, we did a successful go live! According to traditions, it was the time to celebrate the victory! So the company had arranged a party, ultimately an incredible Buffet at Shangri-La Colombo.
Two of our team members weren't able to make it, but the rest of us drove to the hotel. Truly this is my first visit to Shangri-La Colombo. The interiors are super impressive and it made a pleasant and elegant atmosphere around.
We came to Central restaurant and started to enjoy the buffet. You can find a wide variety of food including Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Sri Lankan, Italian. As this is my first visit, first I went around and had an idea about what is available. I didn't try a huge range, but for this time I went with Indian food and some Japanese fish recipes.
Without a doubt, the foods were super delicious and worth it. Even we can prepare the meal as we want. For the second round, I wanted to try the pizza but at that time only the Margarita Pizzas were available.
The service was super good as same as the food and interior.
In every buffet, my favorite part is the dessert section. Here also we had huge varieties of gatos, puddings, mousse cakes as well as fresh fruit jars, ice creams, and traditional sweets. As I was already full I selected very few deserts. I must say, they had an ice cream called "Watalappam Ice Cream" which is extremely delicious.
Also, there was a separate Candy and Cookie corner, and we tried some Candies too.
After the meal, I went to the other restaurant area nearby and took some photos with the beautiful pink floral decoration.
