Hello everyone 😻,
Happy Sunday 😊 and a very warm welcome to my report. Hopefully your weekend is gone well as we jump into a new week. I hope we are all grateful and counting our blessings as always gratitude is the attitude every Sunday.
Let's quickly proceed to breakdown how the day has been including the trending stories. You definitely know the drill, come on 💨.
So I began my day with a little bit of stretching then I was out for a walk, actually getting groceries, short but nice walk
It was quite chilly and cloudy ☁️ as I made my way. The temps have dipped , winter is definitely on its way.
Later I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Then settled down to some you tube videos and trending stories.
My final walk was the slow paced sunset 🌄 walk this time at Greenwich park, my timing was way off and I should have walked more but nowadays its getting dark by 4:30pm so I didn't get the chance to get good pictures. It is quite a vast park and am sure I will be back there but a little earlier to get some good pictures. Anyways I made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So now let's turn our attention to the trending stories.
The nightmare in Gaza strip kept going with 70 Palestinians killed across the strip in Israeli airstrikes😿. 50 of them in Beit Lahia where a building housing displaced people was targeted🙀.
The death toll could be more than 50 as Israel didn't let any ambulances or heavy machinery in. The people were desperately moving the rubble with their bare hands calling for any survivors😿.
Not far off, Israel targeted other areas of Beirut for the first time. A strike in Mar Elias neighborhood killed at least 2 and injured several😿. While a strike in Ras Al Nabaa killed Hezbollah media relations chief, Mohamed Afif alongside his driver and bodyguard.
No prior warning was given in the attacks.
In the other war, Russia carried out a massive airstrike against Ukraine 🙀. 120 missiles and 90 drones targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure causing serious damage.
The main aim to inflict maximum punishment during the winter season😿. There were power cuts in many areas as people sought shelter in underground rail stations as sirens rang out🙀.
This has prompted US president Biden, to give Ukraine the green light to use American long range weapons to strike deep inside Russia.
Zelensky has been pleading to be allowed, we wait to see what he does, it might be a game changer in the war.
Elsewhere in Germany, exiled Russian demonstrators in Berlin protested as they marched towards Russian embassy demanding an end to Russia's war in Ukraine.
