I am pleased to participate in 5th week of SLC Season 21. This week, we will be learning Video Games.. So Let's start,

Indicates the name of the video game and how it is played.

The name of my video game is Minecraft. You all may know about this game infact I deem you all know about this game. It is a great video game for kids.

A little details of Minecraft:

"Minecraft" is a sandbox game where one can explore a blocky, 3D-generated world. The game has no rules to follow to achieve a goal. It is a creative game where one can use their imagination and creativity freely. All you have to do is build structures, explore caves, mine resources, and survive in normal, extreme environments. To play this game, go to your playstore then download and installed it. Minecraft is available on multiple platforms, including PC, consoles, tablets, and smartphones. I use smartphone. Once your installation is done Then ready, steady and go. Boom! Enjoy the game with kids.

How It Is Played

First select the game Mood. There are two moods available.

• Survival Mode: In this moid you have to gather resources to build and survive. Also you have to manage your health and hunger. In this mood The goal is to stay alive while creating and exploring.

• Creative Mode: This mood is opposite of Survival mood. In this mood you have unlimited resources and you can't die. You are free to focus on building anything you imagine, from houses to castles, without any worries and ofcourse without any restrictions. This mood is for kids to create new designs.

When I start this game I choose Survival mood. There is another option of difficulty. I choose difficulty level- normal. So Let's start how to play this game.

• Player starts the game with no tools and must gather resources (like wood, stone, and food).
• Cut the wood to make shelters.
• Build shelters to protect yourself from the monsters that appear at night.
• Explore there, discover the world, villages, and mine for rare materials like diamonds.

In your own words, explain some advantages and disadvantages of the video game.

Every single steps has It's own advantage and disadvantages but when it is about online game then people divided into two part. One who believe online video game has no advantage and others believe it has some advantage. So let me discuss about Minecrafts advantages and disadvantages

• Encourage Creativity - I think our main target is to develop our kids creativity. This game provide the opportunity to do something creative. Here child is free to show his creativity. So, I think it is the most important advantage of this game. What do you say? I think you will agree with me.

• Develop problem-solving Skills- In this game children develop their critical thinking. Finding resources, build shelters, survive in so many challenges enhance their problem solving skills.

• Education Value- It has some educational value too like it teachs the kid basic programming.

• Team Work- as it has the options to play with group so it helps develop ones social communication skill and improve team work abilites. Also it is a great source of having FUN.

• Time Consumption- We can't but help that it is a time consuming game, Spending huge time effects negatively to the kids.
• Cost :- This game needs costs too. Base game is free but some features need cost which is a disadvantage of this game.
• Online Safety Risk- There is a chance of safty risk as we don’t know whonis playing with us, so It's a bit risky.
• Addiction - It is disasterious when kid become addicted to this game. Excessive everything is dangerous.

These are all advantages and disadvantages of this video game.

How old is the child? Do you think this video game is appropriate for the child's age?

Okay! I invite my nephew to play with me. He is nine years old. You have seen him in my SLC S21W4 participation and come again this week. Yes, I think this video game is appropriate for the child's age. I am providing some reason which supports that this game is appropriate for the child's age.

• There is educational value.
• It is very safe with proper settings like limited interaction with online friends.
• The game has no graphic violence or inappropriate themes.
• There is a feature to set time limites.
• No third parties entry.
  So, I think minecraft is an excellent choice of video game for 9 years old child but till patent should check their activities in regular basis.

Okay! When I asked my nephew to play mine craft with me, he was supper excited and he knows all the rules of this game. I know this is his favourite game. So I will start answering what I didn’t like during this activity.

First one is, there is a add which is to downland another game on the top of our screen. Believe me it was so irritating. We couldn’t focused on the game for tjis. I Click on that and the bar took me to playstore to install that game. I tried to minimizr that particular add but no use. Then finally I ignored it move forword. It was quite disappointing during this activity.
Second one is my phone got heated once I installed and start playing this game. I tried to ignored this issue but gradually it become hoter so I stop playing for a while and this thing happened again so it was very disturbing for me because it make me worried about my phone and couldn’t make proper attention during this activity.

My best moments were:

**I start the game with great pleasure. Select my preferable mood. It was great to jump on the forest where I saw all pixeled plants and my first task was cut or collect the wood for making a shelter. I could manage to cut plants thrn my nephew take my phone and start cutting the wood. You Won't believe, he was doing all this so smoothly. He was on bed to sleep but when we startef play he wasn’t sleepy at all but his eyes were bright to play this game. So the best moment was cutting the wood and failed in it. Some times failure can also bring happiness.

Another funny thing happens while playing this game. As per the next question requirement, we have to capture photos while playing but the thing is we were playing on my phone so hoe can I capture photos during playing? So I ask my nephew to bring his mother's phone just to capture some pictures. He silently went to her mother's room and bring the mobile. We take selfies where we present our playing moments.**
