INTRODUCTION

Compliments of the season to all my steemians for Cameroon. Hope you are preparing for Xmas that is coming up in few days. Here, we had begun activities already. In this post, I will tell how my yesterday went . It was a fun filled day here in my community, Uyo. Excitement was wow! Join me for sight and sound of celebration that characterized my yesterday. Let's go.

As usual in the morning, I normally wake up by around 7pm but yesterday I woke up so early, around 5am. Why? I had planned on activities that would characterize my day. One of them was Unity Park Christmas Celebration. I didn't want to miss this year's edition because I wasn't able to attend last year's celebration.

Let's me tell you what this event is like. Is is called Unity Park Christmas Celebration. It's a week long event celebrated every year. The aim is to bring all Akwaibomites from different parts of the world together in home and in diaspora. Every incoming Governor makes budget for that every year. The venue of the event can house about 100,000 attendance. It's like a theatre.

Each day, each Local Government is scheduled to present its culture, ranging from food, dance, songs, craft, and any other show. That yesterday was the turn for my Local government. We are rich in cultural display. Last year, we took first position.

So by 5am, after my morning prayer, I started my home chores: sweeping, washing, mobbing. I took bath and prepared a breakfast (beans and yam) that will take me throughout afternoon since i don't know how long the event will last
and moreover, my family are still on a visit.

After breakfast, I dressed up. I preferred to appear in my native attire based on the occasion.

I left home around 10am because the event was billed to start by 12noon . I left so early so as to get a good seat and get some pictures for you guys when I return. My whole of afternoon was spent on the Christmas Park celebration.

The event started earnestly by 12noon when the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism arrived, giving go ahead for each activity to commence. I watched in awe my Local Government presented dance, the tallest man and other activities.

It was a beautiful sight to behold.

The excitement and fun, made me to snapped a lot of pictures. I had to position myself where I could get a clear picture of the tallest me better.

I got it.

By 4pm, the sun was still angry in the sky, scourging mercilessly. I was tired and thirsty. I had to buy cold drink (about 1 steem) to quench my thirst since water was out of reach. In the evening when I wanted to leave, I snapped this tall man again because I really loved it

I came back home around 6.20pm. I had a field day. Though I was extremely tired, at least I participated in the celebration from start to finish. I took bath to refresh myself. Wow! After bath, electric power came up that lightened my home. Immediately, I charged my phone and sat down to listen to 8pm news on television. After supper, I went to bed by 9pm. That was how my yesterday went. Hope you like the pictures of the tallest man.
