My Dairy Game: Christmas Carol Concert

INTRODUCTION

Shout out to my steem Cameroonian members out there. Happy Xmas in advance. Hope you're doing well. Parties, celebration and carols have started already in my area (Nigeria). My Saturday (14/12/2024) was wow! It was excitement packed. In this post, I am going to tell you how my Saturday was and the event I attended. Sit back and enjoy reading.

In the morning

My morning activities started right away by 3am. Shocking? I had woken up unusually to plan how my day would look like. I had two important things to engage myself: to write my project and then attend Christmas Carol. With these, I had to wake up by early to start writing at least reasonable pages of my work before 7am. So I went straight to my writing table after my prayers.

I switched on light, and I started browsing materials from the internet since most of materials can't be found in hard copies. It took a lot of time to put down materials and then be selective of the relevant ones. It took about two and a half hours to write, although I was still feeling sleepy while writing. Intermittently, I stood up to clean my face to ward off sleep. Yes, by this time, i had written about 6 pages on hard copy papers. At least I was satisfied. By 6.30am I was through.

By 7am, I started my home chores as usual. I swept the floor and washed plates that were left unwashed the previous day. After brushing my mouth, I went to the bathroom and took a bath. Quickly, i came out to prepare my breakfast. Since i don't like going to any event late, instead of preparing rice and stew as i earlier envisaged, I preferred to take tea and bread which won't take so much time to prepare. I went to a nearby shop, got Lipton, peak milk, sugar and bread, came back home , prepared it and then it was ready.

After my breakfast, I put on my cloth, which I normally wear for this kind of outing and off I went.

The distance between where I live and the venue of the Christmas Carol is a little bit far. So I had to board taxi amd I paid N500 in Nigerian currency, equivalent to 3 steem. I got there on time and seated right close to the stage.

Christmas Carol in Akwa Ibom usually feature the largest carol singers (9999) and has been on the Guinness World Book of Record. It is celebrated every year. It is always an exciting moment that attract people from all walks of life.

The State Government, Pst. Umoh Eno addressed the worshippers before the presentation commenced.

In the afternoon

My afternoon was spent at the Christmas Carol venue till evening. Oh I enjoyed different presentation by different gospel artiste who were invited outside the state. I snapped almost all the interesting presentations I watched. But let me just give you a few.

I was extremely hungry though the excitement and the colour of the event couldn't allow me to go back early as I had planned. I had to squiz myself out from the crowd to look for what to eat. At the corners of the venue, food vendors were there selling food and drinks. I bought a bottle of malt and two balls of buns to refresh myself. I went back to take some pictures.

The venue of the event was fantastic.

In the evening

I had to leave before the event dismissed officially otherwise there won't be enough taxi cab to take people back home. So, by 8.15, I left the venue, took a cab and went home. I got home around 8.55pm. Tired and exhausted, I went straight to the bathroom. I pulled my clothes and refreshedb myself. Though i was hungry, i tell you, I didn't have the strength to prepare anything. I went straight to bed and rested. That was how my Saturday was . It was interesting.
