INTRODUCTION

Hi dear steemians from Nigeria. Compliments of the season. How are you doing there? Another drawing contest is here. Oh, how I love drawing! Thank you @benton3 for this week's creative drawing, so I can express my drawing capacity. In this post, I will draw woodpecker and also tell you significant facts about this animal. Stay tune, let's begin.

My Steps in Drawing a Woodpecker

Step 1: As usual before I begin, all my drawing items must be available. I got my pencil, eraser, drawing paper, crayons ready.

My drawing materials

Step 2: I started drawing my woodpecker from the long beak. I drew from the beak to the left, down to the neck and then I curved back to the upper abdomen to the first leg. This was to me, an easy way to start.

The head, abdomen and leg

Step 3: In step 3, I drew the whole body: the feathers, the tail, the othe leg and the claws with the eyes.

Step 4: Here, I use my grayon and insert the red colour on the head and also shade the feathers and the tail. I inserted with black grayon, black colour on the part of the neck to make my work look beautiful. My woodpecker is complete.
