SLC | S21W3 : Teaching Practice"

okere-blessing -

Hello friends.

Welcome to another exciting week, Teaching practice is showcasing your talent in front of people or students. In Nigeria teachers are sent to different school to practice what they have been taught in school, the performance of every teacher during this practice is put into consideration. Haven seen this week's topic I'm particular about my teaching in the kindergarten section. And I will be answering the following questions.

Tell us what your specialty is and what you would like to teach your students in the next hour-long meeting? (1 point)

I'm a teacher who is passionate about teaching the younger ones, because they are easy to teach and can adhere to instructions easily without much stress. The kindergarten or the Nursery section as they are known in my country is my specialty.
Moral is derailing in some children because guidance and parents are busy hustling for daily bread as such the only place left for them to learn some morals are in the school and church.
Let's take a close look at my teaching.

Meaning of Respect.

Respect is an honour or admirations given to someone or place.

Here are some ways to be respectful

Things to be respected

Evaluation. I will ask the pupils to mention two more things that needs to be respected, this is to involve them in the teaching.

CONCLUSION. Our lesson for today focuses on respect I'm sure from today henceforth we will have more respectful children.

Tell us about how the learning takes place from the beginning to the end (input-process-output)? (2.5 points)

The teaching was fun, like I said this class needs more of practicals and visuals, I delivered the lesson perfectly in a manner that each of the pupils started singing a song I composed with respect.

The process: I called in another classroom teacher and asked the pupils to great her in a respectful way, I saw the boys bowing with their hands on their chest while the girls bend their knees and bow their heads.

The out put. I allowed them to go home after the school to repeat the lessons that was taught in the class in their houses while I get feedbacks from their parents.

How do you ensure that after the learning activity there are changes in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of students? (2.5 points)

Cognitive deals with the intellectual aspect of learning . Since they have different level of understanding, I go by breaking my diction into simple English so that they can flow with me. I also repeat where necessary.
Psychomotor aspect involves the skills I used as the teacher, of course I demonstrated my teaching making it practical so that the children can understand what it means to be respectful.

Whether the methods and strategies you use are appropriate, how do you develop methods and strategies in future learning meetings? (1 point)

Handling this children needs learning and unlearning. There's need to be updated on the best method and strategies to us. I'm going to develop these strategies and methods in the future learning meetings.

Share videos and photos, make sure you and the students must be visible (3 points)

Today's is Tuesday 12-11-2024 , these are my pictures with my pupils.

Teaching has been in me right from childhood, I can remember when I used to gather my friends and learn under the mango tree. Some parents then call me Nwa Teacher meaning Small Teacher.

This week's lesson is done and here is my homework. I'm inviting @eveetim @mvchacin @stef1
