Herbal Tea Preparation: Prepare a herbal tea for digestion or stress/anxiety. Documenting the steps, proportions, and effects felt after drinking them. |
---|
I have prepared a herbal tea for digestion with Ginger and Lemon Ginger is a herb that can be used to spice food and it also has so many health benefits that you don't know about. Lemon-Ginger tea is high anti- inflammatory which helps in weight reduction because it reduces hunger. Lemon has been tested to reduce fat stored in the body and that is why my brother drinks this tea every morning.
Talk about digestion, one can take lemon- ginger tea after a meal preferably at night before bedtime. It improves digestion by reducing excess gas or acid. It also helps with loss of appetite and reduces bloating in the abdomen.

I drank this tea at night after meal because it works perfectly at that time. But something unusual happened and I didn't feel at ease at all, I became hungry after a while and it was seriously unusual
I was careful with my dosage because it's important,j just the portion in the picture was good for me.
Herbal Storage: Research the best ways to store herbs at home; take pictures of your storage method and explain why it works. |
---|
Storing herbs properly helps to keep them fresh for a longer time. Each type of herb has its own way of being stored because we have dry and fresh herbs. Good storage is important to maintain the herbs' quality and effectiveness over time. The storage method varies depending on whether the herbs are fresh or dried.
Fresh herbs can spoil quickly, so I prefer putting them in a simple airy container and store them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.
For dry herbs, I store them in a clean dry container but since I don't have so much at home, I captured the only dried herbs available. I place them where they are free from moisture and this way, they last longer than expected.
Home Remedy Creation: Create your own herbal remedy for a common cold documenting the ingredients, preparation steps, and your experience. |
---|
For common cold, I choose ginger, garlic and tumeric. Very easy and snappy to prepare. We all know the health benefits of ginger, garlic and tumeric. I chose these three herbs because they came highly recommended.
I set a cup of water to boil as I peel the ginger, tumeric and garlic. I went ahead to blend these herbs using a manual blender to acquire a smooth paste.
I blended them one after another and have them poured into a tea cup to derive my right measurements. Then I went ahead to add the boiled hot water into the paste. I finally sieved it to have a better remedy for common cold..
These mixture is very medicinal because it helps in fighting viruses for cold. Since ginger is known to make people sweat and it said to be diaphoretic, it is best for flu and cold. It works faster when used as cold remedy.
Herbal Infusion Experiment: Infuse two different herbs (one for digestion and one for stress/anxiety) in water. Document the process, duration, and your thoughts on the end result. |
---|
Ginger and tumeric was what I used. I repeated the same process I used earlier but this time, there was no garlic. I had them blended and made a smooth paste, then I poured them into a cup and added water (Luke worm) to the paste.
Turmeric has curcumin as its main ingredient, making it useful for managing stress and providing relief. Curcumin helps lower oxidative stress and inflammation, which can ease anxiety and stress. Dopamine and serotonin are brain chemicals that influence our behavior and mood. Curcumin in turmeric can help increase their levels, positively impacting our mood.
I prepared my infusion by adding a cup of water to the paste and letting it rest for two days. The neat two days, my infusion was ready.
It was amazing taking this drink because I felt a bit relieved. I didn't like the taste or the smell but I had to for my good. The dosage was quite enough.
