My five fingers first fruit harvest, How my little garden is fairing

Five fingers fruit is also known as start fruit and carabola. . These names come as a result of its share which has 5 pointed parts and when sliced, has a star shape. It has a sour taste but sometimes sweet taste if it is properly ripened. It is rich in vitamin c, fiber and antioxidant. It helps lower blood pressure, due to the potassium in it. It improves heart health and so many other health benefits

It starts flowering from a year or two counting from when it was transplanted. Mine for instance started at exactly one year after it was transplanted. I was pleased to observe it's progress from the time it was transplanted till now. For this first and initial produce, only 4 fruits was produced. But now, it has started a second round of it's production. I have seen two tiny ones already. You see it on the picture below.

It was 3 months ago when I observed that it has started flowing. Then we observed it fruit too but we allowed the fruit to really mature. So. Just this week, precisely on Monday that a heavy wind blew. Then in the morning, while going through the garden to observe it's progress, I saw one of the fruits down. That was when I decided to harvest them because I feel they are due for harvesting. I also picked the one on the ground and cleaned it up. You can see the 4 of them on the picture below. We shared it one one as we are 4 in my family.

The taste was great! Though it has a soared taste but we enjoyed it. I was so glad that I have eaten the first fruit from the tree. You can imagine the joy!

I took that opportunity to move route rest of the garden to observe their progress. I observed that the pumpkin and pepper that I planted last week ha e sprouted and the pepper is also doing well. I had nursed the pepper weeks back. See the pictures below

I planted these pumpkins and pepper on the space where the yam was was harvested from. I want the space to be in use till when another yam will be planted.

Then, I decided to nurse another batch of pepper. I have it already at home. I quickly reached out to them and nursed where I had remote I es I transplanted.

When it is due, I will also transplant them. The thing is that my pepper plants die quickly d easily. I don't know why but planting them in batches have been very helpful. These one in the picture below is already dead. I don't know what happens it. This and some others where the ones I was harvesting from months past.

Well, I have the ones I planted that are already fruiting that will replace the ones dead.

My pumpkin is also fruiting. I mean the ones I have been eating the leaves. Recall that the pumpkin I planted this year was from the ones I planted last year. I will also plant next year from the fruits that will be ready next year. I already have 3 heads of pumpkin fruits that are in the process of maturing. More will still fruit. See the ones that are big already below. These 3 are in different parts on the pumpkin garden

What I harvested next was my okra. Yes, I have been harvesting since. I have harvested this quantity on the picture below 3 times. This is amazing! Who said that agriculture is not good?

Soon, my cocoyam will be due for harvesting. I can't wait to see how the cocoyam will fair. Other things in the garden are also growing well.
