Steemit Learning Challenge: Application as a nursing teacher For Season 21 | Vital signs, nursing process course.

I'm here to apply for teaching team of steemit learning challenge season 21. Steemit engagement challenge now has been changed with steemit learning challenge. This is a great initiative by steemit team and I thanks to steemit team for this meaningful change on this platform. For season 21, also I want to apply as a health care teacher. Hopefully I will be selected for delivering my knowledge by giving unique weekly lessons.

The subject area I want to cover

My name is Ali Moazzam and my username on steemit is @moazzamushtaq. I want to start my application with a beautiful proverb"Health is a great wealth". In this season I will share my knowledge about how to provide basic health to patients? From my childhood I want to go in a best medical field and Alhamdulillah now my desire has been fulfilled and I'm student of BS Nursing.

During my this course I will teach about basic health. Nurse is not only a man who is providing health to patients in hospital. Everyone can be a nurse, the nurse is a care taker. In our home when someone get ill, there should one person in home who know about dealing with patient. In my this course I will teach about vital signs because the change in these signs is the main cause of getting ill. So everyone should know what are vital signs and how to measure these signs. Beside this I will cover many other important things about health during my this course as that how to communicate with patient, importance of hygeination, lesson about assessment tools and some common diseases like bed sores. Nursing practice and nursing process (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation) will prefer in my subject area.

The details of their experience in the subject area be it professional

By profession I'm a male nurse and I have one year experience about nursing. After completing my fsc pre medical study, I was enrolled in BS Nursing course last year. In first semester I learned about how to communicate with patient, nursing process and some basic health care providing techniques like hygeination, oral medication, vital signs and their measurements. I learned these techniques with great authesiuasim. With the start of 2nd semester our clinical rotations has been started and know we are going to Fatima Memorial hospital, (FMH) our university's hospital for clinical training about nursing. There we are doing nursing practice and as we all know nothing can be learn completely without any practical. Everyday I learn new things about nursing practice and in this course I want share my knowledge on steemit. I have written many diaries on steemit about my this journey. So this is my experience about nursing profession.

I joined steemit in March 2023 and in the starting I faced many problems related to verification process. From 1st day I'm writing posts on different topics and interesting diary games on steemit. Know I have a lot of knowledge about creating quality content. Below is my short introduction on steemit

So by using my experience of my profession I want delivery lessons about basic health. By having knowledge about vital signs, everyone can easily deal with any emergency situation of patient.

3 Week Course Lesssons

Below is my plan of first three weeks about this course.

For 1st week:

Vital signs:
In my first week I will deliver lessons about vital signs. Maintaining the normal range of these vital signs is crucial for living a healthy life. That's why my first week will be about vital signs. Below are the I will ask following questions.

Q1: What are vital signs? Describe five primary vital signs that professionals typicaly assess during patient evaluation.
Q2: How do you differentiate between normal and abnormal respiratory rate in adults and children?
Q3: What factors can influence the normal range of blood pressure? Describe the conditions caused by increasing or decreasing of blood pressure.
Q4: Describe the difference between radial and apical pulse assessments.

For 2nd week:

Nursing process (ADPIE):

In 2nd week, my lesson will be about nursing process. Nursing process is very necessary in nursing practice for treatment of patient. By having knowledge about nursing process, a common man can also assess the condition of patient and can be plan for his treatment. That's why I'm including nursing process for 2nd week. The questions will be:

Q1: Describe five stages of nursing process.
Q2: How would you assess the needs of patient with multiple health problems by using nursing process?
Q3: What is difference between nursing diagnosis and nursing diagnosis? Provide example of each
Q4: Suppose a case that there is a patient in your home, how will you treat him by using nursing process?

For 3rd week:

Hygeination:

In 3rd week I will discuss about hygeination. As hygeination has a significantl role in keeping us healthy. So hygeination will be my target for 3rd week. I will ask following questions

Q1: Describe the importance of hand hygiene in healthcare settings.
Q2: What are key differences in cleaning, disinfection and sterilization in healthcare sector?
Q3: Explain the role of personal protective equipment (PPE) in preventing the transmission of infectious diseases.
Q4: How to provide proper oral care and hygiene to the patient who is unable to perform these activities?

So this is my plan, I hope you will like it and will give me chance to share my knowledge on these important topics.

Content Evaluation

Content evaluation of each participant will be done according to new rules from steemit team. I will evaluate content according to a table giving below. First will be feedback than verification table.
