The Sui blockchain is rapidly gaining traction as a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain. One of the latest innovations to emerge on the Sui network is the Sui Name Service (SuiNS), a decentralized naming system that allows users to claim human-readable names for their Sui addresses.
Similar to ENS, SuiNS simplifies complex blockchain addresses into easy-to-remember names while allowing users creat personalized avatars, build decentralized websites, and participate in the governance of the platform.
In August 2024, SuiNS transitioned to a fully decentralized protocol, governed by the NS token, enabling the community to vote on major decisions and updates. I wonder if there will be a voting on the pricing which ranges from 20 SUI for 5+ characters to 500 SUI for 3 characters.
Nevertheless, I believe by providing a simple and intuitive way to interact with the blockchain, SuiNS can help to attract new users and drive adoption of the Sui Network and the listing on Bitget and other major CEXs on 14th Nov. will help reach new audiences and investors.
What are your thoughts on the future of decentralized naming systems?
How do you think SuiNS will impact the Sui ecosystem
