Introduction

@missyleo is a woman, full of confidence and courageous, a resilient and a determined one, I am intelligent and resourceful, above all I am ready to break barriers amd achieve my dreams as a woman.

As a woman we are embedded with so many things inside of us, that's why we can create something out of nothing in this world. I have so many women's that inspired me in life but in my very post, I will be telling more about my grandmother as my major inspiration because of some certain things and knowledge I've learned from her.

Being born in a remote village then in the 90's, my mother who wanted a better future for me decided to give me out to my grandmother who stays in the city of Calabar, Cross River State Nigeria at the age of 3years.

So my total upbringing and ways of life was being nurtured by my grandmother, even when she was an old woman though not stricken in age. She was very strong and able to take good care of me, she brought me up in a Godly manner, she made sure I took my study serious even when she wasn't opportune to be educated.

My grandmother is a very lively woman, an outgoing type and a popular personality in the city of Calabar, so staying with her gave me an opportunity of knowing so many things, knowledge wise.

My grandmother gave me a platform of a beat career in life and also introduced me into an athletic life, by registering me a stadium to be trained on any sport I have interest for (Football/Swimming). She made sure I get involved in all the social and recreational activities in and outside the school.

My grandmother went as far as teaching me her catering job well, by the grace of God I can cook many types of meals, she enrolled me into learning a skill of making of hair, I'm a certified hair stylist.

This woman took time to nurtured me inspite of her old age, she taught me marketing skills, how to run a business smoothly, she said to me 'Lovey' you have to know how to transact a business, in terms of buying and selling of goods that is because you might want to venture into business later in the future or maybe after your retirement for the civil service job, so she took time to trained me on that.

Another thing my grandmother taught me was the ability to face my fears even in the face of adversity, she explained life to me not minding if I was still a child to understand all that, all she believed was that among the 100 words she will say to me, I will be able to hold and keep it 50 of it , but here I am keeping to all that home training and discipline she instilled in me.

In all of these, I am grateful for all that knowledge because I have been able to also passed some of this my knowledge I learned from her to few of my friends and I have also used my skill to help others.

"The world without women is a world without hope”, because women are the 'salt' of the earth.
