Hello friends, how are you all? I am happy to participate in the fourth week of the engagement challenge ''SLC S21W4 / Didactic games for better learning''. First of all, thanks to our dear teacher. If children can be taught to read through play, they will love to learn. And if they learn through play, they remember it for a long time. My son is seven years old. I tried to teach him numbers and English words. This technique of learning through play is wonderful.
Explain the creative process step by step, including illustrations. Don't forget to share the materials used and the final result.3 points |

I used cardboard to make two games that I chose for educational games. In one, I prepared to add and subtract numbers. Above is another game I have created that will help me learn English three-letter words.
[Final result]
To make the creative tools, I needed
- cardboard
- hot glue,
- scissors,
- marker pens,
- white paper
- colored paper,
- and small sticks.
Cut the cardboard into squares, and then take an empty tissue roll. The empty tissue roll is attached to the square cardboard with hot glue. Draw a box on the lower part of the tissue rule with a black pen. Now put white paper on the box and stick it with white scotch tape. Placing this scotch step allows for repeated writing and erasing with the marker pen. Then, after cutting the cardboard, I cut the cardboard to the size of my hand to do math addition and subtraction. Then two cardboard circles cut according to the size of two hands are attached to paper with hot glue. Then I put white paper on the lower part of the hand and drew the boxes with a black pen. I can write with a pen, erase it, and write a new number by placing this. In this way, I have made both educational play tools.
Describe the purpose of the didactic game what did you elaborate, What do you want to teach with the game?1 point |

The purpose of my educational game was to teach my son math addition and subtraction and to introduce him to three letter words in English. In math addition and subtraction, he counts the fingers to determine the answer so he can learn to place it. As I put two hands of paper in the board, he was able to easily count the fingers of the paper and put the correct answer of addition and subtraction. Moreover, English has many types of three-letter words. I found this method much easier than memorizing the words by writing them down. I write one word on the board and look at it so he can find the letters on the sticks and learn to make the correct word. The series of these games is to teach my son how to count fingers while doing addition and subtraction.
In your own words, explain how to play?1 point |

To play this game, you have to sit on the chair table. An English word-making game made with tissue rule and cardboard is very easy to play. This game is suitable for children aged seven to eight years. There are three holes in the tissue rule where letter sticks can be inserted. Any word of three letters should be written on the white part of the board. Then find those three letters from the stick of the letter and put the sticks of the cut part of the tissue rule to make the sound. Children will learn letter recognition and learn about new words as they create three-letter words. By giving two numbers in the two white boxes of the board that I made for addition and subtraction, the children can count the fingers of the paper attached above and write the correct answer in the white area. Kids can learn to count their fingers by playing this game.
Did the child like the game? Did it bore him or was he entertained? Do you think that this game contributed to the child's learning? Tell us about your experience and that of the child playing with the educational game. 3 points |

Yes, my kid liked both of these games. He likes English word-making games very much. I wrote him many words, but he only said to write more words so that he could match the words. He was very happy to see such games. And he thanked me so many times that I made two such learning tools for him. He was saying that he would play with these in his free time without looking at the mobile so that he could learn more words. Creating adding and subtracting words in play was a very enjoyable game for my child. He loved to count and write the answers to addition and subtraction on the fingers of the paper. I gave him a number in two boxes. Later, he added two numbers to the two boxes. We spent a lot of time playing games. Yes, I think this game contributes to my kid's English word learning and counting. I was sitting next to him while he was making sounds. He played these games with great fun. He completed all the steps alone. He was very happy when he saw me making the tools. He wondered what toys Mommy was making. But when she saw that I made her English word formation board and math calculation board, she was very happy. This game was very interesting for him. Moreover, I am also very happy to make such educational toy tools. With these tools, I can quickly teach my child English three-letter words through play. Moreover, you can learn to write the correct answer to math addition and subtraction by counting on your fingers very quickly. I have never experienced a game like this before. I love watching my son play. By making these tools, I got a new experience playing with the games that the kids played. Here I can teach my son three-letter words by writing new words over and over again. I will try to make more learning tools like this for my son and daughter. I have a little girl who is 3 years old. Still haven't learned letters well. Still, his brother showed him, and he tried to find some sort of letter.
Don't forget to upload photos or videos of the child playing with the educational game.2 point |
