Assalamu Alaikum steemian friends hope you all are well and healthy. By God's grace I am also well. Today I came to participate in this wonderful Steemit Learning Challenge-S22W1; Carpal Tunnel Syndrome" learning challenge organized by our exercise teacher @ashkhan. Here I will answer some important questions with some practical exercises. So let's start, stay with me till the end.

What's carpal tunnel syndrome? Write in your own words after getting knowledge from the lesson post.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) :-

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a neurological disorder in which there is pressure on the median nerve through the wrist. This is usually caused by repetitive activity, overuse or compression of the median nerve. This condition is most often seen with tasks such as typing, computer use, or excessive strain on the wrist.

Their main symptoms are
These are types :
AcuteSudden injury or trauma.
Chronicslow onset, long term.
PrimaryNo specific cause.
Secondarydue to factors such as pregnancy, diabetes or trauma.

Treatment :- It can be treated with physiotherapy and surgery if necessary. The symptoms are reduced by special exercises and proper treatment.

Exercise :-

01Wrist rotation.
02Prayer expands.
03The median nerve glides.

The symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome can be effectively controlled with appropriate treatment.

How would you diagnose a carpal tunnel syndrome? Any clinical investigation or assessment tests?

Some steps are followed to diagnose Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is usually determined based on a clinical examination and the patient's symptoms. Here are the notable methods.

Observe the patient's history and symptoms : Know what kind of pain, numbness or tingling the patient experiences. Symptoms are usually felt in the thumb, index, middle and partial ring fingers. It is important to know if the symptoms are worse at night or if they are relieved by moving the wrist.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
01Phalen's TestThe patient is asked to flex the wrists and hold for 30-60 seconds. If pain or tingling is felt, it is positive.
02Tinel's SignIf light pressure or tapping on the median nerve in the wrist produces tingling or pain, it is positive.
03Compression TestSee if pressure on the wrist worsens the symptoms.

EMG, physical examination should be done as tests to confirm the diagnosis. Ultrasound as an imaging test that looks at the condition of the carpal tunnel and nerves. MRI helps diagnose nerve conditions in more complex cases.

If carpal tunnel syndrome is suspected, an orthopedic specialist or neurologist should be consulted. Appropriate tests and treatment can be done as per their advice.

Try to practice at least 3 exercises that you have learned from the lesson. Share images, gifs or videos while practicing preferably gifs or videos.
01Wrist Rotation Exercises

02Arm Prayer Stretch Exercise

03Median Nerve Glides Exercise

Share your review after performing these exercises either on yourself, healthy individual or patient.

As my personal review I have applied the exercises mentioned for carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist rotations, arm prayer stretches and median nerve glides) on myself.

Wrist Rotation Exercise : It is easy and comfortable. After doing this for a few minutes I felt a slight relaxation in the wrist joint. There was no pain or discomfort.

Arm Prayer Stretch : After placing the hands in the prayer posture, slowly press down and feel the tension. It helps to stretch the hand and wrist muscles. There was mild tension while exercising, but it was comfortable.

Median Nerve Glides : This exercise should be done slowly. Felt slight relaxation and tension in the movement of the nerve. It seems quite effective and comfortable.

So these exercises are easy to do and effective in relieving symptoms. I plan to continue these daily as they help relax muscles and maintain nerve function.

Finally I would like to say that carpal tunnel syndrome is a common neurological problem that is mainly caused by repetitive stress or nerve compression of the wrist. Its symptoms can be controlled with proper diagnosis and treatment. Physical therapy, such as wrist rotation, arm flexion stretches, and median nerve glides exercises, can be effective in relieving symptoms. Practicing these exercises regularly can restore hand function and ease daily life.

So I am Inviting my lovely Steemian friends @solaymann, @kouba01, @ulfatulrahmah to Participate in this Competition.
