MEDITATIONS OF THE GRANDFATHER
AND THE GRANDSON'S TOYS
Seeing his grandson play,
The grandfather says, saddened,
"Ah, if only I could go back
To being so entertained!
"If only I could return to the time
When I built castles like these,
And left them standing
Sometimes for the next day;
"And all my sorrow was
Waking up to see it,
Finding that the maid had already
Tidied up my castle."
But the grandson doesn’t hear him
Because he’s concerned
With a mistake that happened
At the gate for the soldier.
And while the grandfather ponders, sad,
Remembering the childhood that’s long gone,
Another house is already built
Or another castle falls;
And the grandson, finally looking,
And seeing the grandfather cry,
Says: "It fell, but that’s okay:
We can fix it right away."

I am sharing photos of landscapes, moments and experiences. Nature and sea are the most visited themes in my photo collection, but any attention-grabbing aspect can be photographed. Hope you enjoy it...
