The bicycle had been one of the major means of transportation in most parts of Africa and we have been using it to ease movements. It is interesting how we balance on those two wheels during a ride. Our balance has a lot to do with Gyroscopic Effect that comes from the spinning wheels of the bicycle and the center of Gravity of the rider being positioned over the bike, allowing for balance and control and something about weight distribution.

We can not ignore the vestibular system in our ear that helps us maintain balance, once it senses a tilt, it works with our skeletal system to adjust or center of gravity to compensate and maintain balance.

What do we need when drawing a bicycle?

To draw the bicycle, I got this comfortable seat with all the needed materials in place. Below are the items I made use of.

The Procedure

Step 1 [Preparing the Canvas]

Here is my drawing paper, cut and ready for todays drawing. My username is attached to my drawing-sheet.

Step 2

I started drawing my bicycle from the rear tyre

Step 3

It this point, I had to bring in the bicycle's frame, it will help determine the position of the front tyre and other parts.

Step 4

I now added the front tyre, the handle and the seat.

Step 5[Shading]

It's now time to add colour to the sketch work.
The tyres are indisputably black but it took time to agree on blue for the body.

Step 6 [Finishing]
