I’m not in any fashion aligned with AOC or many of her policy preferences, but when a politician takes a stand for principles at the cost of popularity among their base, it should be applauded.
AOC is taking a principled stand here that will cost her in popularity, which is more than can be said for most politicians.
To her credit, she generally doesn't make a fool of herself, but instead presents well-reasoned arguments. I don't agree with some of her positions, but I do like her integrity.
