Japanese Maple (Acer Palmatum)

Japanese maple with scientific name acer palmatum, exhibits diverse foliage, especially in color and degree of division.

The leaves are opposite, single, 5-13 cm long, with 5-7 deeply intersecting lobes.

The leaves are lanceolate to lanceolate-elliptic with double serrations.

Above, the leaves are fresh green, but below, the hair color of the axillary veins varies depending on the cultivar.

In the fall, the color turns dark red, orange, or yellow.
