Cheers To Breaking Free From Cages and Truly Living đ¸

We hurry and wander like experienced little mice, in the world we call our own, but really, it's just a glass cage for rodents. Is that what we are? We wonât admit it, because out of all the qualities we've inherited from a "better society," only a simple shame or fear remains⌠Theyâre really one and the same. Like brother and sister. We give names to everything. Table, house, chair, awe, sadness... Weâve learned so many words to describe the human mindâs many states, but do we actually feel part of these states?
Life isnât something outside of us. Seems like an obvious conclusion, right? Almost too obvious... Even though weâre undoubtedly aware of it, we often get the feeling - and make endless attempts to convince ourselves - that itâs not quite like that. Admit it, havenât you thought that your life has a life of its own? That youâre not really in control, and that youâre either drifting along with the current or constantly swimming against it?
Letâs create our own emotions. Good ones. Joyful. Letâs not be afraid that life will find us hidden in our little tank, clumsily built as it may be. Life wonât raise a finger to rebuke us for our timidity and weakness. Simply because itâs not separate. Itâs not outside of us. We are part of it.
We run, but thereâs no one to run from. We hide, but thereâs nothing to hide from. As we glance around anxiously, weâre not making up a tiny world, like a small box within the larger one of our life, but instead, weâre building life itself. Weâre shaping its walls and painting its ceiling. With each little joy, weâre changing it, making it more alive, more ours.
Weâre shaping it the way we want. Because one day weâll look back down the gray path to see what we left behind, and if every day we had our little "escapes," if we brought ourselves joy, smiled at the things that made us smile, weâll be able to say with certainty - I lived!
Cheers - to a better, more meaningful life! âď¸đš
