Happy Sunday to you all. I hope everyone is fine. By the grace of God, I am also doing great. Today, I am going to share with you my Pencil drawing.

Finished Drawing

Though I am not an artist, but I love creative arts. Immediately after my siesta this afternoon, a thought of creating a pencil drawing ran through my mind. Different things came through but I choosed Ant cartoon.

I decided to put a try as my first pencil drawing, but I knew if I try to draw it at home, my 2 years son will not allow me. I work from Monday to Saturday, Sundays is the only day he sees me at home and I didn't want to deprive him that privilege of playing with his father.

I spent good time with him in the house until 4:30pm which I left the house to my office just to accomplish my task of creating this drawing today.

• A4 Born Paper

• Eraser

• HB Pencil

• Sharp blade for sharpening my pencil

Following the picture of the ant cartoon, I first started by drawing the head.

Step 1

I drew the Mesoma which is also called Thrax, before I drew the Metasoma (Abdomen).

Step 2

In this step, I drew the eyes, nose, mouth and legs of the ant. I'm getting closer to the full drawing.

Step 3

Now I attached the antennae to my drawing and also drew the segmented abdomen.

Step 4

Here I painted part of the head and abdomen using HB Pencil. I made a light painting on the abdomen to bring out different segments.

Step 5

I drew two apples in the hands of the ant to beauty and also give my drawing a finishing touch. My son loves cartoons of this kind which I later gave him the hard copy.
