The Treasure Map - My Creative Writing

Long time ago a fourteen year old boy was looking in his attic cleaning it out because it was his punishment from his parents because he didn't listen to what they asked of him. He was clearing out the old webs and boxes. He looked through the boxes to see if they had memories he needed to keep, until one box he opened had a map. He was intrigued by the sight of the map so he grabbed it and unraveled it. It had clues to follow. So he followed where the clues lead him and he ended up at an underground tunnel. He walked into it and looked around but it was just an endless dark tunnel dimly lit up. He walked further and further into the tunnels until he found an ancient underground temple.
There was a clue on the map that said there was a treasure hidden deep in the temple. He was excited to try and find the treasure. So he went and looked around and first he saw pressure plates and he needed to step on one to make the door open but the others triggered traps. There were ten different pressure plates. And he had to choose three, so he stepped on one and thankfully it was safe then another and it was safe too. Now there was one more and he had to make the right choice. So he stepped on it and then a loud noise came and he thought he was about to get trapped but it was just the door opening.
He was relieved to know that he made it through the first puzzle but now it was the next one. Now he has to solve this puzzle where you have to rearrange the blocks around until the door opens. So he moved the blocks around and as he pushed one a trap opened, thankfully he dodged it. Eventually after moving them around the door finally opened.
Now it was the final puzzle. He had to beat a boss in a game of chess. They started and it was intense, he had to focus and the game went on for hours and hours because he wanted the treasure so badly so he was really focussed. They were down to four pieces each. They played thinking carefully between each move until finally the boy had won and unlocked the key for the treasure chest! As he opened it a blinding light came out of it and after it disappeared it showed a note that read, Hey son I hope you enjoyed this little minigame your dad and I made for you to keep you from getting too bored but he's a broom to sweep the floor. Love mom.
