07:30 AM -Today I woke up with the sun timidly peeking out the window, a perfect signal to go out and capture the essence of the city. After a good breakfast and checking my equipment, (on this occasion I took the compact Fuji 1800s) I headed to the city center. The excitement of a new day of photography filled me with energy.
09:00 AM - Upon arriving at the main square, I found a vibrant scene: a band of street musicians cheering up passersby. I took out my camera and took a few shots. The movement of the instruments and the soft morning light created a series of captivating images.
11:00 AM - I walked through some streets in search of capturing something, like the essence of the ordinary citizen in their daily routines. Shopping, errands or even a simple walk through the streets or squares. Every image I took seemed to tell a story of its own.
12:30 PM - At noon, I decided to recharge my batteries at a small cafe. While enjoying coffee and cake, I watched the people passing by. The interactions and bustle of the city were a source of inspiration. I made some notes in my notebook about the emotions I wanted to convey in my photographs.
02:00 PM - I returned to the streets, this time with the goal of continuing to capture everyday life. I saw an old man feeding pigeons, a fruit peddler, children playing in a park, and couples walking hand in hand. Each scene was an opportunity to freeze a moment in time. I felt that photography is not only a technique, but a means to connect with humanity.
04:00 PM - I checked my notes on my cell phone and saw that I had the information about an exhibition of old model cars in the El Trapiche park in the commune of Peñaflor, I took my bicycle and headed to the place . There I took some photographs of some cars present in the place.
07:00 PM - Exhausted but satisfied, with the day still clear from the spring season, I returned home. As I reviewed the photos from the day, I realized that each image is not only a reflection of what I saw, but also what I felt. Urban photography is an art form that allows me to tell stories, and today was a day full of stories to discover.
I downloaded my photos to my computer with a smile, eager to see how these images will come to life in my next project: The Diary Game. Ultimately, every day in the city is a new adventure, and I can't wait to capture it all again, as every corner of the city tells a story, from the vibrant colors of the environment to the imposing architecture and also its people. Capturing those fleeting moments allows us to appreciate the life around us.
