Energy saving

josepha -

Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed Energy Saving💡 as part of my participation in this 👉contest organized by @hive-141434

💡 What type of energy do you consume daily? (electric, wind, solar...)

The type of energy that I consume daily is electric since there is always an electric light in my place. At the place where I am staying electric energy is what everyone is using, meaning it is hard to see wind, solar, and other types of energy in my place. Due to the constant usage of electricity which is provided by Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC (AEDC), it is hard to see someone using another type of energy aside from the use of electric energy.

💡 What do you think about the energy service in your area? On a scale from 1 to 10, how much would you rate it?

The energy service in my area is very much okay, for me, as there is 24/7 light in my area. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the energy service in my area as 9.5/10 because the light is usually 24-hour light on every blessed day.

💡 How much do you pay for your home's energy service monthly? Expressed in steem.

Well the pay is not constant it varies most time meaning it can be less this month, and be high next month for this month I t was told to pay ₦40,000 which is equivalent to 133.5 STEEM, which I only paid ₦15,000 which is equivalent to 50.09 STEEM. However, the outstanding balance would be accumulated and added to the bill for next month.

💡 What actions could you implement in your daily lifestyle to save energy and ensure a better tomorrow for new generations?

For now, the action that I could implement in my daily lifestyle to save energy and secure a better tomorrow for a new generation is the action of using prepaid meter. By using a prepaid meter I would be able to cut down my energy consumption and save money for other things as my payment would only be based on my consumption.

💡 Do you think that the contribution of a single person can do a lot for the planet?

Yes, I do think that the contribution of a single person can do a lot for the planet. Individual actions can inspire others, to create something meaningful or can be a momentum for broader change, and contribute to cumulative positive effects. For example, a person with a sustainable habit of conserving energy, reducing waste, and supporting eco-friendly products can collectively minimize environmental harm when adopted by many people.

Also, individuals can influence policy changes, and raise awareness, which can lead committees to greater heights. A small change that is done by a single person when it is multiplied by millions of people can have a transformative impact on our society.
