The birth of the molecule of life.

This is something amazing, for the first time in history, and in real time and on a molecular scale they show how water is created, of course not from nothing, when two oxygen atoms meet a hydrogen atom, and they join together to form that beautiful molecule called water and it is so essential for us.

The event occurred as part of a new Northwestern University study during which scientists were seeking to understand how palladium, a rare metallic element, could serve as a catalyst in the gaseous reaction to generate water, remembering that both oxygen and Hydrogen are gases, they join together and form a liquid at room temperature, they form a molecule, in this case a water molecule.

All this happens of course on a manometric scale, the interesting thing about this process is that it can help us understand and be able to develop strategies to generate water on demand in environments for example arid or even on moons other planets, because we can be on Mercury or Venus or by Ganymede and obviously needing water but we have hydrogen we have oxygen how do we put them together so that water is produced and that it is in the most efficient way, spending the minimum amount of energy possible and the recipe seems to be in palladium.

The bad thing about palladium is that it is one of the most expensive metals, it is currently below Gold, but as it is a strategic element in new technologies, at any time if a new technology comes out it could take a hit and be above Gold, it is of the most valuable and most sought after metals today.

The researchers who made this achievement discovered that the best recipe was to add hydrogen first and then add oxygen, because apparently it led to a faster reaction rate because the hydrogen atoms are so small that they can be compressed more easily. with the palladium atoms which makes the Metal expand and this seems to work better to create water more quickly, something extremely curious.
