Ingredients required for making Patisapata Pitha:

Item NameQuantity
Rice powder2 cups
Flour1 cup
Liquid milk3 cups
Powdered milk2 tablespoons
Date molasses200 grams
Semolina2 tablespoons
Food color1/4 teaspoon
SaltQuantity

🍳Preparation Process🍳

Step 1:

First, to make the batter, I mixed two cups of rice powder, one cup of flour, one tablespoon of powdered milk, and one teaspoon of salt in a mixing bowl. Then, I mixed all the dry ingredients with a hand whisk.

Step 2:

After mixing all the ingredients, I added water little by little and stirred it. In this way, I made a perfect batter for Patisapata Pithar. Once the batter was ready, I covered it with a lid and kept it aside for 15 minutes.

Step 3:

To make the Patisapata pitha khirsa, I put a pan on the stove. I added 3 cups of liquid milk to the pan. Two tablespoons of semolina, one tablespoon of flour, and one tablespoon of powdered milk were added to the milk. Then I stirred and mixed all the ingredients very well. I stirred continuously with the help of a spoon so that the khirsa did not stick to the bottom of the pan.

Step 4:

After cooking for some time, when the khirsa thickens, I stirred the chopped date molasses into the khirsa. After cooking for some more time, when the date molasses melted, I added 1 teaspoon of ghee at the end of cooking the khirsa. Now I will turn off the stove and cool the pitha khirsa.

Step 5:

Now I will pour the prepared pitha dough into two containers. I added yellow food color to the dough in one container. Then I stirred it and mixed it well with the food-colored flour dough.

Step 6:

I put the food-color-mixed dough in a water bottle. Then I made a small hole in the bottle lid.

Step 7:

I put a pan in the oven to make the patisapta pitha. I used a tissue and some oil to wipe the pan clean. When the pan was hot, first I made a beautiful design by rolling the food-color-mixed dough in a round shape.

Step 8:

Now I spread the patisapta batter on the color-mixed design. After that, I covered the pan for 30 seconds.

Step 9:

I removed the lid of the pan and put khirsa on one side of the bread. Then I folded it from the side where I put the khirsa. Then I turned it over and removed the patisapta pitha from the pan. I made the rest of the patisapta pitha in the same way.
