Contest: Time to let go.

This is a true life story you are about to read I had to let go of everything and start a new life to become a better person. This was how everything happened.

Once upon a time during my first and second year in school, I found it difficult to let go of my friends despite how they were so insulting and trying to bully me. I met these girls thinking that they were very serious students whose lifestyle influenced me to become so serious. At first, they offered me help by taking me into their apartment to stay for a while so I could do my registration and other things before getting an apartment of my own.

During my first year with them, they were nice, even at the point that I wanted to leave the apartment to get mind because I am the kind of person who hates depending on someone who they insulted and convinced me to stay with them, which I did and gave them part of the money they paid for the apartment. They weren't serious students as I thought they were and the worst part of it was that they had already been expelled from the school.

All they know how to do is clubbing going to parties and living a high lifestyle which such of lifestyle isn't what my parents taught me because I grew up in a noble home. Before I could know myself I was influenced by their way of life and got myself addicted to someone I was not used to in my life. To me, I have joined the big girls on campus without knowing that my future is a stake. In my first semester examination, I did so well because I wasn't in their club nor being influenced by their lifestyle.

It was my second-semester results and a second result that opened my eyes that if I hadn't been away from this friend of mine whose only thing they know how to do best is clubbing and flexible I may ended up regretting and my parents wouldn't be happy with me.

My performance in school became poor and I didn't even know how to make the results better, I had to let go of my friends, let go of the department I was in, took a bold decision and both a new jamb form and reapply for admission in another school and department which today I am so happy with myself.
