Briefly explain 3 causes of early crop growth damage.

LINK

The early growth damage of the crops can affect the productivity of the agricultural sector and it can results in the deceased of the yields and can cause economic loss for the farmers. It is very important to understand what are the causes of such damages. The one most common reason of the early crop growth damage is the frost damage. This damage occurs when the temperature decreases below the freezing level and it happens during the night or in the early morning. Those young plants that have just germination and they are sensitive to the temperature. The frost damage can damage the tissues of the plants and can result in discolouration of the plants and ultimately results in the death of the plants. This happens in those plants those have planted in the early spring.

The water is very essential for the normal growth of the crops and also for their development. When there is insufficient moisture is present in the soil for the plants uptake and it happens due to prolonged dryness and also because of inadequacy of the rainfall. The roots of the young plants are not developed fully to access the moisture deeper in the soil. Due to this which symptoms occur are mentioned as
Stunted growth
Wilting
Leaf curling
ultimately death in severe cases

Mention 5 importance of nursery pots in plant early growth?

LINK
Root development
Controlled Environment
Mobility and flexibility
Easier Transplanting
Diseases and pest management

The role of nursery is very important to facilitate the development of the roots. The nursery pots provide good environment for the young plants to grow and establish their root development. The nursery pots are designed in such a way that allows favourable environment for the young plants..

A controlled Environment is established in the nursery pots that is benifical for the young plants to protect them from the external environment. In the nursery pots the optimal level of soil is created for the normal growth stages of the young plants. These are in the green house to protect the plants from the harsh environments and also from the harsh sunlight.

The nursery pots are lightweight and portable and it is easy to carry and it is easily to move. This is very for the growers to move these pots to adjust the positioning for the plants which is dependant on the sunlight and also the conditions of the weather.
