What is a painkiller?

Painkillers or commonly called painkillers are drugs to relieve pain in the part of the body that hurts, this drug is commonly used to relieve symptoms of muscle pain, headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain, arthritis, post-operative care and also pain due to injury.

This drug also works to relieve pain without losing consciousness

What do you think is the most common reason people use painkillers?

In my opinion, people use this drug because they are unable to bear the pain in their body parts, because most of the pain experienced by a person can interfere with their rest and also in their activities.

By using this painkiller, at least people who experience the pain can be more comfortable when resting or in their activities.

What do you think about the difference between over-the-counter and prescription painkillers?

Actually the difference is very simple, in my opinion, over-the-counter painkillers do not function as well as prescription painkillers. Although we can actually buy over-the-counter painkillers.

However, using painkillers prescribed directly by a doctor would be better because the medicine has been adjusted to our body condition and the pain we feel so that the medicine is safer and will not make us overdose on drugs.

Can you think of a natural alternative to painkillers that people can use?

In addition to painkillers obtained from doctors, another alternative to painkillers that can be used to relieve pain is turmeric. Because turmeric can relieve swelling and reduce inflammation, turmeric can be used as a natural painkiller, the way to use it is by consuming turmeric directly.

What do you think are the risks of using painkillers too often?

One of the risks that we will get if we use painkillers too often is that it can make our bodies more immune so that over time the painkillers will no longer work effectively in our bodies - of course in the same dose.

This is my entry for the Health Matters contest (16); PAINKILLERS which is organized by @sahmie, I also want to invite @dekki, @adi.syahreza and also @sailawana to participate together in this contest.
