A tour through nature and vineyards!

Hello friends of this beautiful community!

It’s always a pleasure to share my photos here, especially since you know I’m a nature lover and particularly fascinated by agriculture, which is crucial for our existence as human beings.
Today, I want to share some photos I took a few days ago during a hike through the Berici Hills, specifically around the foothills of the Berici Mountains. This is quite interesting because it allows me to show not only the landscape of these hills, which are just a few kilometers from my home, but also what is grown in these areas—something really important for the income of the people living here.

I’ve shared several posts about these places before, and I’ll continue to do so because I love these spots. They have remained in their natural state; in some parts, fortunately, humans haven’t changed them, so I enjoy walking here because there are trails that venture into areas with still untouched forests and land not used for agriculture.

Before reaching these pristine areas, you can find various grape plantations, both white and black grapes. This is because the grapes are used in this region to produce excellent wine. There are numerous wineries here where this wine is produced and exported around the world. I must say it provides a significant income for those who own these fields.

However, the downside, in my opinion, is that farmers often focus on monoculture because it is more profitable, which means they grow fewer other important crops like wheat or olives. Olives, which were once the most common plant in these areas, have now been replaced by vineyards due to their higher profitability.

I must say that it is always so relaxing to visit these places, and as you can see, I usually encounter very few people. Instead, I often come across animals, and some of them, like wild boars, can be a bit frightening.

I hope you enjoyed the photos I shared. See you in my next post, and I wish you all a great day!
