There are a lot of aspiring street artists in Da Nang but unfortunately we mostly get relegated to worthless gang signs and what I consider to be vandalism rather than art of any kind. The other day I was walking to meet some friends at an area that I normally wouldn't go to when I encountered this gem on the entrance of a closed shop.

This was clearly done with permission and perhaps that is why it is so much better than the garbage that litters a vast majority of the town. I do not know what sort of shop this is but the level of precision that is done with this spray work indicates that the artist had a lot of time and materials to perform this job.

It's on a pretty busy side street and I can't believe that I have never noticed it before. The amount of traffic here makes it quite difficult to actually get a shot in without a motorbike or a car getting in the way. I suppose I could have done the IG thing and just stood in the middle of the street and inconvenienced everyone else in the world for my own benefit :)

The danger of having good street art like this is the same here as it is anywhere else. Other taggers are almost certainly going to target this in order to put their shite over it and that will be a real shame when that happens. I believe this is relatively new, because nothing of the sort has happened yet. Perhaps it wont happen because of the fact that even in the middle of the night there is lots of traffic on this street and therefore there would be a ton of witnesses.

It's just kind of refreshing to finally come across something that is good because this town has so much garbage done with spray all over the place. I hope you enjoy it as well!
