Introduction

The cry of a newborn baby is pleasing to the ears of the parents and today I experienced the joy of being a father. A few times I searched within myself to see if I was dreaming but the reality dawned on me and whispered ...you are now a father. Let me share my diary with you today.

The Diary

For several weeks now, Wifey has been placed on compulsory bed rest and the condition can be related to Braxton Hicks contraction in twin gestation. The duty of the house has solely rested on me, from house chores to other errands. I gladly perform these duties because I want my wife and the babies to be safe till delivery and after.

Undoubtedly, the sudden change reflects on my work and engagements because I spend more time looking after the house, my wife, and the little cuties inside her. It hindered my blogging on the platform too because I've got a lot on my table unattended.

After more than a month of bed rest, my wife went to the usual clinic last Wednesday and she was admitted (of course, I was there with her) due to high blood pressure.

The pregnancy was just about 36 weeks and 1 day at that time, the doctors even planned a Caesarian section surgery last weekend but my wife was determined to take the babies to term not pre-term. She was so scared of having the baby taken to the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) because it was going to cost the family more.

On Monday, she called me while I was still at home that the doctors were around and may likely section her today (Tuesday). Waking up this morning, the only thing on my head is seeing my little cuties and wife healthy. I left the house as early as 6 am, got the surgery pack ready, and other things that would be used.

Babe was ready to drop a banger 😃

My wife was moved into the theater around 11 am and the babies were out around 11:30 am. They came out on the day they marked 37 weeks inside the womb and came out all girls, lol.

My little angels

My little angels are so healthy with no sign of complications at all, eating fine and ready to live the best of their lives. Their mother is gradually recuperating from the surgery. We now have a house full of girls.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the journey of fatherhood is one I have not embarked on before but my little angels are ready to take me on a ride and I'm certain it will be the best thing I have ever experienced. We are looking forward to 2 - 3 days when we will be discharged and the babies can join us in the house we live in. Thanks to the creator of the universe, I'm a Father.
