New to Nutbox?

Last I checked, the Biden has been harping about "ghost guns" since before he took office.

His administration was pretty damn quiet after the United Healthcare CEO was murdered with one.

A school shooting happens, and suddenly the administration is back to blaming the gun.

You see, Democrats can't be consistent on gun policy because they don't have any principles on gun policy. If somebody they don't like gets gunned down, suddenly the gun lacks agency. None of the people celebrating Brian Thompson's murder are talking about how great a job the gun did. People aren't selling t-shirts with images of the gun. People aren't meming the gun. They're celebrating the murderer who operated the gun.

This act of evil happens, and it's not the Democrat's preferred act of evil. This is an act of evil that fits their narrative. So, the agency is transferred from the murderer to the gun. Now, since the shooter is dead, the Democrats want to arrest my gun because, of course, guns have agency now.

Now that that point is made, I've gotta reiterate another.

You can tell which side is right when one side needs to lie. The pro-gun people don't need to lie. The anti-gun people need to lie.

Newsweek cited the anti-gun group, Everytown, with the 125 people being "killed" by guns per day in this country.

That's willfully misleading language. They know that people who don't have the real data in their brains already will take that as 125 people being murdered with guns every day. That's false.

Think about it. If John Doe commits suicide with a gun, you wouldn't say, "John Doe was killed with a gun." The "125 a day" number comes out to more than 45,000 a year. That means that they're including all gun deaths, including suicides, accidental deaths, and self-defense shootings. What's more, they're taking that average from a bad year for gun deaths.

You might disagree with me about gun control. I might have gotten a statement or two factually wrong over the years. Still, I've never lied about this issue. I've never made an attempt to be strategically misleading.
