We are focused on enhancing the efficiency and utility of SteemPro for users. Many are unaware of the functions of the various keys provided by Steem. The most commonly used key is the posting key, which secures your assets. However, sharing the posting key can lead to spam on the chain, ultimately damaging your reputation in your field.
The active key is sensitive, so SteemPro provides an encryption method and allows users to use the keychain on the go. Note that the "remember password" option is only available for the posting key, you must enter the password for each session if it is not set to be remembered.
The Master and Owner keys are highly sensitive and should not be used for anything other than changing passwords. You must refrain from performing common operations with these keys. If a user enters a private Master key, SteemPro derives the lower private Active key from it, allowing the Active key to be used for login even when the Master key is entered.
The key derive option does not work for the owner key, so we implemented a method to prevent users from entering the owner and master keys. Here’s how the system functions when I attempt to log in with the private owner key.
The next fix addresses post scheduling using the private active or posting key. Some users have reported experiencing a 401 error when trying to schedule posts. We are actively investigating the issue, have identified the bug, and will implement the necessary changes promptly. Thank to @michelangelo3 and @joslud,
Many minor design and typo fixes were made. Thanks to @steemchiller for thoroughly reviewing SteemPro.
