Introduction

Often times, we find ourselves or other people in leadership positions in our families, social, political and religious circles. What is leadership? The question we will have to answer in this contest. Thank you for having me share my thoughts on this topic.

In your perspective, what's the Definition of a good leader?

There are many ways to define or identify a good leader. For me, a true leader is defined as a person who has good intentions. He/she is a motivator, one with great aspirations with a vision. He works tirelessly and helps others reach their potentials and actualises their goals. For example, a good leader leads an organisation to achieving the company's specific goals and aims.

What is the difference between leader and leadership? Explain!

A leader is someone and so, a leader has to do with an individual who leads or influences other people. A leader is also a person in a leadership position. An example of such could be a president of a country or a governor. A leader can also be a person who leads an organisation or a group of people.

Meanwhile, leadership is a process. It involves guiding, directing and influencing the behaviour and activities of others, working together in order to achieve a common goal, interest and the desires of the people or organisation.

Who is your all-time favourite leader? Why?

Nelson Mandela is my all-time favourite leader. Mandela, apart from being a skilful orator, was able to carry his followers along through simple communication and coordination.

He was tactful, purpose driven and was driven with compassion for his people. He was known for his dedication and determination to see to an end of his people's suffering. And, he was resilient during difficult times. He was a courageous leader and had an undying spirit.

Imagine leading and coordinating several groups, speaking to the British about the negative impact of apartheid on the South Africans. He was not afraid, even after being arrested and dealt with severely, he never gave up, but continued defending his people till the evil pattern of apartheid was folded up in South Africa.
