Greetings everyone and thanks @miftahulrizky for organizing this lovely contest "Learning with me"
I can not stop reading book because it build me up and enlarged my capacity for acknowledge and empower my day to day challenges with easy way.
There is the book I read "21 foolish things people do" and I picked topic that said "A LIFE OF NO INTEGRITY"
Integrity is what some people see as nothing in life but the writer said, "A life of no integrity is a life of no character" and is true because it is integrity that builds character.
Someone with a Character capital has a future, even if he does not have money because fast deals have led to many fast deaths. Short cuts have cut many destinies short. It is not wisdom for a man to live such a life that cannot be trusted or relied upon. No where, the bible said better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. (Proverbs 19:1).
In this life, the greatest thing that can be said about some one is that they have integrity not that they have money or gifts. A man of integrity means what he says and says what he means and He will not touch what is not his.
This book have teach me to understand that someone with a Character capital has a future,even if he does not have money and this integrity is superior to any other from of capital on earth including money.
I also understand that one can lose so many things like character, money etc but when he loses character, he loses everything. (Proverbs 22:1) A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. A good name will take you where your money will not.
I can remember in some years back, a certain young man took a lady he wanted to marry, to his uncle. Later on, the uncle called on him and said he was sorry he did not want him to marry the girl. Why? The uncle said he had already slept with the girl and he would not be able to visit the young man in his house and meet with a woman he had slept with. That was a factor that contributed to the end of that relationship. The lady had earned a bad name for herself.
If a man is sacked from office because he stole something, when next he has a job somewhere else and he is asked for a recommendation from his former office, what would he do? A bad name shuts the door against him.
In the process of reading this book, I also recall a young girl that was approach several times by her boss in the office for a sexual relationship. She refused, After several advance from the man and she refused firmly, the boss then sacked her. She left the job and kept her name. After spending a few months at home, an opening came and she went for the job. Fortunately, they asked her to get a recommendation from her former boss. With all audacity, she went to her former boss and asked for the recommendation. The ex-boss agreed. In his recommendation, he said: "If you are looking for a person that will not compromise principles, if you are looking for a person that will not betray trust and confidence, if you are looking for a person of integrity and character, then this is the right person" for that recommendation alone gave her a great head start in the new and probably, better employment.
Long after Some people have forgotten how rich you were, they will not forget the strength of your character. (Integrity)
A life of no integrity has made me to understand that when a thing costs fifty thousand and a person says it is seventy thousand, and the company gives him the seventy thousand, the twenty thousand he holds back is a setback to his life. Because anything a man touches and takes , which does not belong to him, will prevent him from having whatever is his in life.
Integrity pays big time because it is a bad mistake for someone to entrust you with money and when it is time to have it back, there are conflict. It is a terrible, foolish and stupid thing to do.
I also understand that when a person's name is neat, his character is neat and his integrity is neat. Some few years ago my spirit father told me a real life story that happen "some big companies in America crumbled all at once. And it was because of a lack of integrity because they often declare profile that were not real, they manufacturer figures that attracted the applause of the public and elation of the share holders. Five years down the line, many people realized it was all lies. There were no such profits and everything began to crumble.
Conclusion: attractiveness can take you up but without character, you are likely to crumble from there. So it is better, far better, and more wisdom to be genuine, real, sincere and true than to be fraudulent, insincere and dubious in character.
