Mondays are a good day to stop and reflect on the weekend past, things that need doing today and in the coming days, and maybe even the start of formulating plans for the weekend to come.
My day began with roasting 6 pounds of coffee for a customer. This amazingly produces a lot of steps because of the nature of the process. Each roasting cycle is about 13-ish minutes. I stagger the two roasters so I have time to bag the coffee and clean the roaster for the next pound. That way I don’t get a pile up of tasks that need to happen all at the same time! In between, I ready another set of bags and measure out green beans for the next 2 batches and log them in the perspective coffee roasting journals I keep. It keeps me moving!
Once that was done, it’s package them for shipping, create shipping label, text my customer with his totals and head to the post office!😅 While out, we also went to pick up the metal roofing in Bellingham and stopped for a coffee date. I like Starbucks chocolate they use in their mochas and have not found anything I can purchase to mimic it. I do also love the black dutch cocoa I used to make my own mochas, but enjoy the time out with @silvertop.
I was online earlier, and @actifit-lamb climbed up to the loft to do a little cruising of her own. She got excited when she found @drlobe’s post! I almost couldn’t pull her off the computer, lol!🤣
Going back to this afternoon; the sun FINALLY came out for a game of peek-a-boo. It was nice, but as you can see in some of the pictures, rain clouds were lurking!
I spied a very small for his age, 5 year old snail. I moved him out of harm’s way.
While we were out, I got Cot and Cyle a kitty toy. Cot was more interested. 😽
Tomorrow’s the beginning of a little longer workweek for me, but at least it’s a ‘me, myself and I’ day! Take care and enjoy the rest of your day! 🙏🌎🙏
