Eye brow is very important when it comes to makeup, if it is not properly drawn, it will be noticeable and your makeup will not be balanced.
Now from this lecture I have learnt that identifying the type of eyebrow you have will make it easy for you to follow the shape and draw it effectively, highlighting it to beautify your face even more.
So to begin the task for this week, I got my tools ready at hand to begin my training.
- Eyebrow Brush
- Concealer
- Cat's Tongue
- Eyelash Brush
Identify your eyebrow type and apply makeup according to its shape, creating a gradient at the beginning of them. Also, show and explain if you used shadows, pomades or any of the existing products to apply makeup.
I first of all identified my eyebrow, my two eyebrows does not have the same shape one side is soft angled-low arch and the other is shaped S-shape.
I shaved some hairs around it so I can achieve a good brow while highlighting. Some people do highlight their brow with heavy hairs under the brow and it makes it so messy but then it all depends on a person choice but me I shaved mine.
Before makeup
I clean my face after the shaving and as you can see clearly the shape of my brow.
Then I identified the steps needed to have a perfect brow drawn as learned from the course outline there are 3 point to consider while trying to get a perfect brow drawn according to the shape of our eyes.
I identified my starting point which start from the side of my nose to the tear duct of my eyes as seen in the first image.
I identified the next point which is considered to be the highest point depending of the type of your brow. For mine it will elevate but not too high and it is measured from the nose to across the iris of the eyes to form an arch as seen from the second image.
The last point is will now drop down from iris of the eyes and it is measured from the side of the nose to the end of our eye and it end here not to be extended.
Now let me do it
First I used the eye brow brush to bush the hair and be sure that there is no hair below my brow so as to achieve a better result. Then I cleaned the area.
I started by creating a gradient in the lower part of the brow using concealer that is a little brighter than my skin colour to highlight the brow using eye brow brush and it also serves as a ground work for my eyeshadow.
Next, I highlighted the upper side as well, filled the spaces with eye pencil to make it dip and looks hairy. I don't have hair on the brow so if I don't use a pencil to deepen it, my brow won't be visible in the makeup
Then using a eye lash brush, i filled and blended the spaces. This also helps to achieve a smooth naturally looked eye brow as the starting point part will be lighter than the outer corners.
Finally, I used the cat tongue brush to properly blend the concealer on the upper side and the lower side of my makeup. This makes it look natural as seen in the last image.
Final look
Finally I was happy to achieve a neatly drawn brow It wasn't too short or too long It really fits my face.
💄 - Shows the before, during and after of your lip makeup; performing the process of outlining them to perfect their shape. In addition, it investigates and explains what your lip type is and what is the correct way to make up and outline them whether they are droopy, thin, thick, asymmetrical, among others.
I have a round shape lips and it looks beautiful on me. The lips also need to be highlighted well while performing a makeup, the mouth has shape therefore, it should be highlighted based on the shape of the mouth and fill it smoothly.
Before lip makeup
This is my mouth before applying the lip makeup
During lip makeup
I outlined my lips then filled it with my eye pencil according to my lip shape and blend it smoothly with my brush.
Final look
I applied a lighter colour to my lips to make it look natural I used nude colour. I blended it well and moisturize my lips using lips gloss.
Finally, I achieved a beautiful eyebrow and a lip makeup.
Final look
I applied a little powder and eyeshadow so see how the look of brow will fit my fave and it sparkle my look as I went out with it.
💄- After a while, our makeup products may expire or become unfit for use; research and explain what characteristics to take into account to know when we should throw away these products to avoid future consequences.
Normally make up products are made with some chemical compounds and so they have some some reactive effects if used the fake products.
Therefore when product expires be reminded that it should not be used or else it will affect our skin.
So when the product texture changes for example when the liquid wants becomes sticky and strong for example nail polish it should be discarded.
Also when you notice any product having a Messi smell it should be discarded for example lip gloss, eyeshadow, foundation and concealer.
Ofcourse while buying any of this chemical products, we should always check the expiration dates and when it expires it should never be used on our skin
There are some eyeliner or mascara that has lumps in it when it's spoilt or expires. Please this should be discarded too as those lumps can enter our eyeballs and causes more effect that will cost us more than we would have purchased a new one or even our eyes can go for it.
Therefore, in summary discards any makeup product If it smells, if it react or irritating to our skin, if the colour changes, if the mixture separates, if it texture changes and if the expires.
Thank you for this course I appreciate it teachings
